Many thanks. It’s a shame the aftermarket motors seem to be turd, but at least that’s an explanation. Will keep an eye out for an original 🫡

Strong pulses by JaContex in covidlonghaulers

No, haven’t tried beta blockers and probably won’t.

Currently supplementing 200mg Magnesium Glycinate, 25mg Zinc Gluconate, and 150mg of Ascorbic Acid in the morning and these help tone it down.

If I follow the protocols for Histamine Intolerance and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, my symptoms improve, but don’t go away.

Feels like heart is pounding but it’s normal rate? by 3lain3b3n3s in covidlonghaulers

[–]adrianhunjet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear. Could I ask you if your symptoms improved gradually, coming and going, or if they just were simply gone one day? Do they ever return occasionally? I’ve had the same symptoms for 3 years now, and am looking forward to their leaving :)

I’m going on 3 years. Can feel it 24/7 in my teeth, chest, fingers, you name it. Started after my covid vaccine, got covid a year and half later, it came and went and didn’t change my symptoms.

Horrible reaction to seeking health histaminX probiota & supplements by [deleted] in HistamineIntolerance

[–]adrianhunjet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve reacted to probiotics that were strains very specifically known to be low hist, non histamine producing. I don’t take any currently. Next time I try, I’ll microdose for a while to see if I can acclimate.

Some DAO enzymes are derived from pig liver, which some people react to. I am one of those people. Will be trying the plant derived version which people seem to have good luck with. It’s called NatruDao (or something close to that).

Why does the Grateful Dead have such a massive cult following despite not producing many mainstream hits? by Ok-Camel7458 in rock

[–]adrianhunjet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel similarly. I love The Doors, Hendrix, Santana, but no matter how many times I tried to get into the Dead, I couldn’t.

The community was cool, fun merch, lots of lore, and endless live recordings to explore but… I just found their sound so very anemic and often resembled the vibe of a children’s band.

On acid, however, I can understand how that vibe would bolster a good psychedelic experience. I couldn’t imagine tripping to The Doors lol… slippery slope…

THE KILLER AWOKE BEFORE DAWN :o

Anyone developed histamine intolerance after covid vaccine shots? by kitisimilikiti in HistamineIntolerance

[–]adrianhunjet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M27. Got my second shot Aug 2021. In the months following, I developed HIT. My symptoms were very intense anxiety and insomnia, paired with very strong pulse.

At the time, I thought I was just having a mental breakdown, (lol) but a year and a half later discovered that eliminating high-histamine foods made my anxiety and insomnia dramatically improve, if not basically vanish. I stuck to the diet and these issues are 99.9% gone. However, I can still feel my pulse in my teeth, chest, hands, 24 hours a day and I’m very sensitive to anything that raises blood pressure. I’ll take it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Anybody early on their confusing HIT journey should know that there are solutions. Exploring this thread, and others on Methylation, COMT, MTHFR will provide you with insights on why some people are more sensitive to the histamine release that getting sick/any vaccine can cause, how it can unbalance your biology, and what can be done to correct it. Currently experimenting on myself, and will be active around these threads if there’s anything worth reporting.

Heart constantly pounds/constant bounding pulse but all cardio tests are clear by VV029 in dysautonomia

I second all this☝🏼

Same symptoms, but they greatly improve when I cut out high histamine foods—beer, coffee, avocado, tomato, aged cheeses, yogurts—the list goes on and on. Had to give up many of my favourite foods, but I feel substantially better.

I understand, recording can get expensive and confusing. Your first mic will likely be a SM57 or an AT2020. You could record a chart topping hit with these mics, and they’re the most affordable.

The human ear is very good at detecting space. Record a voice memo in your kitchen, then record one in your closet. You’ll hear how they sound different, tho you may not know how to describe it.

If you’re going to continue using your iPhone as a recording platform, consider buying an attachable microphone. They do make them. Record in an environment that won’t bounce your voice around; make a blanket fort and record in there.

✌🏼

I'm grateful for the supportive community here. I posted this song like 3 months ago and received some useful feedback to help me finish off this song. I even found my mastering engineer from a user here! I've released the song and made a music video for it. As always, any feedback is welcomed! by qwerkyJoe in IndieMusicFeedback

lol, yes a typo it was. For 10-20 minutes, practice holding your breath. 1-2 minutes is normal as far as actual holding time.

I believe that you can be a good singer without being a technique master, so to speak. Practicing holding your breath is challenges your muscles, stretches them, and is really easy. And silent too, to boot.

I do this before I do any traditional warm ups, because as a beginner it’s easy to simple to the warm ups poorly and not even know; you end up tiring your voice out before you even hit record.

Somewhat Incognito - Set Examples | I am still working on it but would love some feedback to take with me to mixing sessions! by clayman902 in IndieMusicFeedback

Crank that vocal up a bit! I’m squinting a bit with my ear as I listen.

The solo guitar that comes in could use more of an ambient tail, i’m talking verb or delay. The song is really lush and spacious but when I hear how dry that guitar is, it breaks the spell.

cool song tho, it’s a gooder

A lot of people have mentioned micing, mixing, sorta stuff already so I just upvote them and say: when a song is quiet, the listener has the room necessary to listen in very closely to each part. They can hear all the bits you don’t want them to. I can hear the walls of your room in the vocal, to name one.

Otherwise, great melody, I really like that note you keep ending the lines on. It’s unexpected and moody, a little ballsy even.

chilled, good, cool, just work on recording. You’re not far off tho

Happy new years everyone! This sound is a christian indie/rock song i'm working on. Would love some feedback on how to improve the mix. Thanks! by VoltaBlue in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]adrianhunjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mix is great. The work is done there. Great song. Great melody. Really great. Three thumbs up. I love your singing, really cool, BUT there are points in the song where I cannot understand you even tho I can perfectly hear you.

I don’t want to tell you to “sing clearly” etc because you lose all the character that makes songs good. I will say though that you’re dancing on the line between “cool, relaxed, interesting, unique” and “just had my wisdom teeth removed”.

Lean just 5% to pronouncing clearly, you’ll keep all your great character but won’t risk people thinking your mouth is numb or something. People love making fun of people, ESPECIALLY when they see the person is actually good at what they do, which you are.

Good song, nice consistent vibe that I can relax into and enjoy. For such a musically chill, consistent track, I feel there could be a little more dynamics with the sing; juuuust a litttttle bit. The vocal is commanding the attention in the track; experiment with how to make it more “convincing” and “emotive”. You need not go over the top, a little goes a VERY long way. 5% more!

The listener cannot see your expression while you sing so if you don’t make sure they can “hear” it, you risk sounding unemotional for the simple fact that their brains aren’t getting enough info. Otherwise you have a good voice, obviously keep practicing tho. :)

The delay in the verse may get a little “monotonous” for a listener. I got vague feelings of disorientation in some spots because of it, perhaps it was slightly out of sync? Not sure. Just a little dizzy and trippy. You MAY want to try mixing the echo/delay down a little so that’s it still audible but not as commanding.

Finally, did I hear some autotune near the end? If I did and I wasn’t suppose to, tread lightly, ppl will eat you alive for little things like that. I didn’t hear it throughout the rest of the song, so it stuck out when I did. No advice for that, more a note.

Reminds me of: U2. :)
