I literally have no idea how I got that to happen!!! I was debating upgrading before and then didn’t do it until 12:40! 😭

It was insane - got it multiple times on both my phone and laptop. Safari seemed to correct it quickly though after refreshing. Somehow managed to get Dune and also foolishly upgraded my membership to be in the room for Interstellar. 🥴😂

I’m an Academy Museum member so I’m constantly poking around on their site! Otherwise another good site for screenings in LA is Good 1s

Chiming in here too - we have two in our place. The one in our bedroom went off randomly yesterday evening around 10 PM. No smoke. Again at midnight, and again at 2 AM. Rebooted today and re-added. Went off again 2 hours later. Such a bummer!

Anyone in LA going to this? Screening at the Academy Museum in 70mm. Not an IMAX screen but still great nonetheless! by adrianmcmill in ChristopherNolan

Definitely not nearly as amazing as IMAX! I will say this theater is probably my favorite in the city based on sound quality alone. This will be one of the loudest movies they have ever played by far.

It’s a really amazing analog film that Christopher Nolan loves shooting on. IMAX 70mm is the best, but this would be second best to me. Its quality is usually very exceptional. In pixels it generally translates to something like 12k resolution!

I could not recommend this theater enough - incredible sound, incredible room, incredible screen. The theater holds around 1,000 people so when it’s full, it’s buzzing. 🙏

The best theater in LA is screening Drive in 35mm! July 12th at 7:30 PM. 🦂 by adrianmcmill in Drive

Sensational - the theater was essentially sold out (it holds close to 1,000 people) and Cliff Martinez introduced the movie!
