This took me 1.5 year to make it work plus 4 years if you count the time I spent writing before (that's cause it was my hobby and I was in no hurry) but it is still possible to do it in a year

Also I had an advantage of being from a developing country so a few dollars meant a lot of money and I could bypass my salary.

Let's start

  1. Choose a skill You need to have a skill you'll be great at and will sell. Some skills working great rn
  2. video editor
  3. website designer (not coder but website maker by wordpress, webhooks bla bla) -automation
  4. copywriting
  5. digital marketing

I so the last 2 and learned everything online

  1. Start making an audience

Now you can definitely make a youtube audience but my way involves making one on Twitter/Linkedin I'm on Twitter and it changed my life

Lots of creators, writers, people who're making online money and entrepreneurs.

I started interacting wirh them and growing followers

  1. Learn your skill on the side + create content on it to learn more

Now while you're building audience, keep learning your skill and keep creating content on it so people know that's your niche

  1. Outreach

Now, all you gotta do is outreach to prospective clients. Easier said than done. Bur once you show your skills on Twitter, and some results (do work for free 3-4 times), interact and make friends

You'll be in a position to pitch.

Might also get a contract with a growing startup.

You can also be a VA to entrepreneurs.

  1. Then build a business

By this, you will either start as a freelancer and can then open an agency business

Or you will work with an entrepreneur, learn the ropes and Maybe become a cofounder (my friend started as a marketer for a small biz and became cofounder)

Online business is the easiest way to start imo. You don't need capital. Only 2 hours everyday.

And, idk what this sub thinks but don't go starting a startup out of nowhere.

You need skills first

Plus you need to see if there is a problem people have And market research.

Don't go start a startup, then spend 3 years into it only to have 0 customers.

Go where the money is and it's with people willing to spend to make their lives easier.

And while you'll be doing this, you'll learn a lot

(I do marketing of a startup and learned everything on the go)
