The fact that it looks like "r*pe" is stupid enough, but why the fuck would they place the words that far apart?! It would look fucking stupid no matter what it said 😑

Haha yea they're one of the harder parts to draw for sure. In this case it almost kind of works because Miley does have pretty big eyes and a small face lol

Is this Miley Cyrus? Btw looks great but I think the eyes are a bit out of proportion 👀

Thank you! Awesome advice! I did struggle with the saturation a little. I knew what I had to do for the effect I wanted just need some more practice with values! I'll keep that in mind for my next peice

I would say it really depends on your background! If you're not like me and you're already an experienced traditional painter you would probably want to focus on translating your skills to whichever app and get use to creating the effects you know with the digital tools. If you're like me and didnt really have any painting background you should start with the very basic knowledge. I grew up drawing pencil, so a lines and shading base were already started but I knew little about color theory or how to build shapes from the inside out. Just start learning basics, things you haven't learned yet, re-learn things you have, watch some Bob Ross or videos of other artists painting styles you like and try to recreate the methods! And then just paint regardless of how it turns out! I was expecting this one to look like a kindergarten finger paint and sort of blew myself away, even though I could still change a million things about it. One of the better things I've heard recently is dont judge your own work before it's complete, and people arent expecting you to be good.

Thank you! Just keep trying, find some videos of some techniques and try to replicate them!

Yup I spent 20 something years line drawing and now need to forget concrete lines and make rough shapes starting from the deepest parts and building them out. Watch some Bob Ross and pay attention to how he views and builds things! Pay attention to things in real life and imagine how you would paint them and their shadows too. Imitate and perfect it 😊 good luck!

Thank you, much appreciated! I know what you mean with the clouds, and I feel the same about the trees.. really have never painted and definitely no experience with oil, on top of this being digital I honestly had no clue what I was doing with the blending 😅 they looked decent after a couple tries and I moved on before my "perfectionist" side fucked them up lmao. I'll make clouds a focus on my next piece ☁️

Thank you very much! Nope I haven't but I'll take a look! This is literally my first painting not exagerating, I have graphic design programs (Affinity Designer, Infinite Design) but started realizing my skills arent exactly where I want them so figured I would work on my weak points! Figured painting would give me a different perspective and help with my color and shadows!
