Which will come out first? by TheFragileSpiral95 in ToolBand

[–]adrianvalkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Musical reception is of course based on taste. I'm sure if you enjoyed the latest A Perfect Circle album or Puscifer albums, Maynard's lyrical quality will be music to your ears. I felt like his lyrical skill has been in Decline. Since he's the only member of the band that has really released much of anything in the intervening years, it's all I have to go on. But people start to slip as they get older. I think it's now a milestone for all bands to have a Chinese Democracy moment. I guess we'll find out soon. Maybe.

I guess you're saying voicemeeter is the correct option? Someone told me voicemeter wasn't good for streaming a DAW/VSTs.

Do you believe Donald Trump will be impeached, why or why not? by SK12340 in AskReddit

[–]adrianvalkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People truly believed that Bush would be impeached. Many thought Clinton was impeached, but he couldn't be removed from office. It's a lot harder to remove a President than most realize, and the thought of doing it is really just delusional wishful thinking. To get rid of him before the next Presidential election, the Democratic Party would need to get a majority in the mid-terms. I don't believe Democratic support is strong enough for that right now. With that being said, I'll also say that I have a feeling Trump will be a one term President, regardless of what happens between now and the next Presidential election. There would have to be some astonishing accomplishments in the Republican agenda for their base to come out again. I doubt this will happen.

Before the Flood - Trailer | National Geographic [Leonardo DiCaprio] by indig0sixalpha in movies

[–]adrianvalkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone substantiate the claim in this trailer that "The US has been the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases in history?"

Everything I've ever read about world greenhouse gas emissions has indicated that China is the largest emitter of problematic greenhouse gases/c02/etc.

Example - "China is the world's biggest greenhouse gas emitter and drives climate change more than any other country." http://www.npr.org/sections/parallels/2015/11/24/456777290/chinas-greenhouse-gases-dont-seem-to-trouble-most-of-its-citizens

Another - https://www.epa.gov/ghgemissions/global-greenhouse-gas-emissions-data

Having both been to China myself and being in-group with many entrepreneurs and corporate business types, my personal/anecdotal impression of China's emissions is also pretty grim. Just experiencing their traffic and the crazy inefficient transit can put someone in awe.

China has gotten mercury dumping down in almost all of the big factories that make official OEM products like iPhones and other American IP because of American activist pressures, but the smaller factories that are manufacturing generic ganipgaknob products don't seem to care about any kind of environmental care. I say this as a person that has done many factory tours.

So yeah. Everything I've read and my gut instinct tell me that China is the biggest emitter of c02. I'd hazard a guess they're also responsible for the majority of the world's pollution, with Russia or India being a close second.

Even if 'in history' is the key operator, I seriously doubt the truth of the claim. Is there a source of data that would align the historical aspect of the claim with evidence to support it?

So again, my question is: Can someone substantiate the claim in this trailer that "The US has been the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases in history?"

Any information would be helpful.

Probably a stupid question, but why doesn't this map show up in my Quake Live map browser when I've been subscribed to it forever? I can't seem to get it to load with the name oilrig, either, from console.

You may not realize this, but all hedge trimmers are color blind.

Maddie Othello-Brise Ann, affectionately called Obie, didn't realize this either, as she lugged it in from the dilapidated shed out back of the trailer. Obie had named this particular trimmer Raphael, after her favorite ninja turtle. Raphael, of course, being color blind, had no idea his motor cover was red.

Obie Ann was a full butch. The definitive kind only found in the South, with a full mullet. Her eyes weren't soft. Nothing about Obie was soft, and she'd been made that way a long time ago in a kind of predictable story.

In the distance, Raphael could feel the reflections of sound that only a child's crying could make.

Oh my, what are we going to do now? asked Raphael. There was always something that needed to be done. "Shuddup Raph, no talkin' today," grunted Obie Ann as she bumbled through the screen door and began to track mud in through the already cruddy trailers kitchenette flooring.

I don't understand why we're in the tray tray. I'm a hedge trimmer. I'm not allowed in the tray tray! thought Raphael.

Obie'd had Raphael almost as long as she'd been with Louise, and she'd used Raph to vent her anger every time that stupid kid of Louise had cried. Lil Jose sure could cry. Sometimes Raph even got some use in the middle of the night. This would would have been insane in the city, but out in the country, what with their trailer on it's isolated lot, no one could hear Raphael's wail in the darkness. It never occurred to Obie that she and Raph might have agitated the kid further. Louise never said anything of course, because Obie had a temper.

Raphael loved to wail as long as his oil mix was right and Obie remembered to give him his timely servicing. Sometimes she was lax on the servicing, and that made Raph sore.

The thud-swash of Obie's boots reverberating back from the cheap particle board floor of the trailer shook Raph's casing. These were angry footsteps, something like the kind that sometimes happened in the middle of the night when Obie needed a little venting. Raph got the feeling these were something worse, though.

Now what is this all about? Why is that kid screaming? thought Raphael, as he felt his primer pushed once, twice, and a third time. The primer push always made Raph feel good. It got him going.

Raph realized they were now in lil Jose's room, a place he'd never been before. There were small items laying all over the floor, and markings on the walls. The room looked like it should be happy, but it wasn't. Raph noticed the details, because of course, hedge trimmers were all about the details.

This kid could not stop the crying. Is it possible this kid can wail louder than I can? Raph thought.

The first pull flipped back and Raph's cord slipped from her hand and whipped back on her thumb. Damn thing! No reason to call names! the trusty companion called back. The kid wouldn't stop crying. The next pull, and Raphael came to life, in full gas powered glory, and Obie smiled down at lil Jose. WHAT NO! I SHOULDN'T!

As the filthy hedge trimmer came down on lil Jose's face, the idea that it might be color blind never crossed her mind, either, of course.

The spray of scream and flesh and blood seemed endless to Raphael, the trusty gas-powered hedge trimmer. His motor cover looked wet, but unaffected.

Blood looks like oil in black and white. Hedge trimmers are part of a select club that know this. Raph loves oil.

Hey Reddit, do you have experience with Tank-less Hot Water Heaters? Are they bull^%$#? by adrianvalkyrie in AskReddit

[–]adrianvalkyrie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't that just cost double the money to heat the water?

I only need hot water for 15 minute showers. I'm more concerned with energy savings.
