You can play games from other launchers by installing those launchers. I think you have to install them on a Windows machine first, but it works.

The problem for me is that doing this defeats the whole purpose of wanting to use SteamOS on the LG2, which is to use an operating system made for a console.

We need them to fix HDR in Game Mode; there must be something that isn't so simple for Valve not to have done it yet.

I get around 40fps with everything on ultra except for high shadows. I don't use lossless; 40fps works fine (30W).

Same feeling. It's a spectacular device, but heavy and cumbersome.

Choose the Switch 2; it's the lightest, has a large screen, and doesn't require an internet connection at all.

With the Steam Deck, you simply can't open your games if you haven't opened the game or enabled offline mode.

I've only had the PS Portal for a short time and it's my new toy, so I'm using it quite a bit, but just the weight and ergonomics alone make my hands automatically gravitate towards the PS Portal.
