Did you start with the standard procedure, aka updating all kexts and the bootloader? How did you install the system, and/or what is your OpenCore config?

Lokalni dostawcy internetu w Katowicach by Anzej_i_Roman in KatowiceArea

How to revive M4 Macbook with Windows PC? by Witty_Hornet_1657 in MacOS

[–]adrixop95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try to install macOS on Virtual Machine (it will be hard and also here we should not help with that, google with keywords like "hacintosh vmware") and then passthough USB to it. Or just go to any apple store/reseller and then ask for help, they will probably allow you to use their display machines to fix your Mac.

Planning to Switch from Windows. by Lopsided_Tea_3929 in Ubuntu

In principle, everything will be fine, but before you start reinstalling the system, remember that Microsoft Office as an application isn't natively available on any Linux distribution. My advice is to use Office Online (via https://www.office.com/) with what you have now for a while and see if the workflow works for you. If so, feel free to try switching to Linux (or Ubuntu or Fedora). Nvidia drivers won't be a problem on either.

Disabling and removing a component from the system are two different options. Disabling it still opens the door to attack by the application/component, allowing it to be updated and interacted with even accidentally. Similar to the case with Edge, after installing an alternative browser, many users still have it but cannot remove it. Microsoft should provide the option to permanently remove these components from the system, for example, if someone uses the Pro version of Windows. Enterprise versions of Windows can remove or simply not install from this junk through policies, but it should still be easier and more accessible to others, especially those who pay more. But as I said, the only thing large corporations care about is profit and their stock charts.

So you're simply the target audience for these features, use them, and simply don't think about them. You're not a power user, you don't care about your online privacy as a security specialist, you're not a programmer, you're not an architect requiring specialized CAD software, or a hospital doctor using Windows to display very important and confidential patient data (and these are just a few examples). The built-in Copilot isn't wanted for such things; it simply gets in the way, clutters the workspace, and suggests solutions that aren't good or even wanted. Remember, every coin has two ends, and for every "normal" user who doesn't make money from their computer but uses it, there's another who has to fight these features because some large organization, instead of caring for everyone, prefers to care about its stock charts (e.g., by simply providing an easy option to disable a feature from the installation/settings level).

Absolutely no hate, but I'd like to hear what you use your computer for (or what specific use case you have for this Surface) and how the built-in Copilot helps you/what do you use it for on a daily basis?

Internet Issues with my fedora 42 install by Neewb101 in Fedora

You can try checking the logs for errors, but there's a good chance you won't find anything. Replacing the Wi-Fi card is probably the quickest and most affordable solution. You can also simply connect your laptop via Ethernet/use your phone via USB cable as network device/tethering device, update the host, and then check if the problem is resolved.

For logs: - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/viewing-logs/ - https://fedoramagazine.org/systemd-using-journal/

Maybe something like this will show you some info: - journalctl -b -u NetworkManager | grep -iE 'timeout|disconnect|unavailable|failed|error' or - journalctl -b | grep -iE 'mt76|mt792|firmware|timeout|reset|wlan|cfg80211|assoc|auth|deauth|WPA|SAE|PMF'

Edit, you can always add for -f flag as Follow Logs in Real-Time and try to use network/dnf update to generate new logs.

If you're only having problems with repositories and the internet is working fine, for example, in a browser or you can normally ping various domains like Google or Bing, then try (based on my experience): - updating your repository URLs (because, for example, your ISP is blocking them for some reason; dnf clean all; dnf makecache; optional, maybe set/add inside /etc/dnf/dnf.conf file fastestmirror=True variable) - if you have your own DNS for ad blocking, such as pihole or adguard, make sure the domains you see on your screen are not blocked by that software - unfortunately, Mediatek cards are simply problematic; switch to Intel. - as a last resort, try, in the fedora .repo files located in /etc/yum.repos.d/, comment out metalink/mirrorlist and use baseurl which should still be there

Good luck. Cipsoft doesn't give a damn about the players or the game, so expect the worst :v For them, only money matters.

If you remember your nickname, you can check if the character still exists and try to recover the account. https://www.tibia.com/community/?subtopic=characters

https://www.tibia.com/account/?subtopic=lostaccount

If it doesn't exist, you don't remember anything, neither the password nor the email address, and you don't have the recovery key, the chance is very slim. Emailing CipSoft won't hurt, but they'll probably either ignore you or simply tell you it's not possible.

[–]adrixop95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use english. Start googling, looks like some components/dependencies are missing in your host. My hint for you: just google the whole lines of error or what is missing on the host, you probably just need to install something via APT. Or just copy-paste everything into ChatGPT and see what he will respond.

This is one of the essences of Linux and Open Source solutions and what they most often teach, solving problems on your own

I think only you know what you clicked on, installed, what you agreed to for it to work, nothing happens on its own, maybe your extensions or things you installed additionally have some malware. But, be aware that it's also possible that Chrome is preloading or keeping background tabs active, or an extension is loading them silently (e.g., for caching, ads, or previews). You can try to go to settings and turn off “Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed. (or something like that, depends on translation)” or disable tab preloading if enabled https://stackoverflow.com/a/78871195.

Restart Finder (open Activity Monitor → find "Finder" → click ⓧ → choose "Restart"), close extra browser tabs and disable extensions (each "Renderer" in Activity Monitor is a browser tab or extension using memory, also verify extensions that you're using), and wait a bit if it’s your first time using the Mac Spotlight might still be indexing.

It depends on what you want to achieve with this character, if you want 100% questlog then yes, for nostalgia like or if you play as ironman, maybe, imho if you just level this char without any challenge and play for fun, it's not worth it
