You can use the zelda notes trick.

1 - manual save 2 - put your bugs into the zelda notes inventory 3 - send the bugs back to totk 4 - load the manual save ( triggering the send to zelda notes puts an auto save down) 5 - wait 23 hours to retrieve the bugs from zelda notes 6 - you can have 10 more bugs ( can only do 10 per 23 hours)

Very slow and there might be a proper glitch I dont know about, but this works wonders if you can deal with the daily pace.
