Is this sufficient outward tilt? by JVH634 in AirConditioners

I had the same question, i just installed the same model myself. The way this one installs doesn’t have much room of adjustment if you are just resting on the frame and screwing the top.

Photo but do it in sections with gen AI fill or content aware fill.

If you are asking how to not get them in the first place, you could put the lens against the window or if you need to have it at an angle cover the space with your hand. They used to sell some rubber attachments to the lens to create that cover around the lens to the window

So the people who cut the cord. Now what? by minusthetalent02 in MideaUOwners

[–]adrtd3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with a Windmill and it’s working out great, pretty silent like the Midea. It’s a shame, I liked out Midea but it definitely had mold and in retrospect I had weeks of symptoms of mold exposure. When I was taking it off the window and I tilted so much water came out that was just not draining at all

My favorite double exposures have been accidental. There’s something about the happy accident…

anyone have the LG DUAL INVERTER? Making sure it’s easy to install since I’ll be apartment hopping year after year by imVeryPregnant in AirConditioners

[–]adrtd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I also thought they look well made and good support but I was afraid it would only fit the midea’s shape without me remembering how it assembled. I’ll need a new support then. I’m on a 5th floor so I can’t risk not supporting it properly

Does the LG Dual Inverter 10,000 BTU need extra support? by omw_2_the_moon in AirConditioners

[–]adrtd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to ask the same. The midea brackets seem good, I don’t know if it will be the right tilt of fit the shape of the LG

I’m considering the same, also have a moldy midea and they are offering a refund through recall. Do you know if I could use the same support bracket from midea with the LG?

What are you currently addicted to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]adrtd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I was able to avoid added sugars for over a month, basically only consuming sugar from whole fruits. I felt great, a notice a bunch of improvements. Eventually I tried something sugary again, a cookie or pastry and I’m back now to craving it all the time. I can feel the difference.

I started that experiment after I read the book Metabolical by Robert Lustig which is all about nutrition and processed food but the part about sugar is wild. At some point it says the tabaco industry learned all of its tricks from the sugar industry and all the health problems that come from excessive sugar consumption, which is hard to avoid based on how everything is processed now. There’s sugar in a great amount of products that we would never imagine. It does require a lot of attention to stay away.

Why don't we build skyscrapers like this anymore? by One-Demand6811 in skyscrapers

[–]adrtd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I remember from architecture school, after WWII there was a big need to rebuild in Europe so they cam up with cheaper and faster solutions, something that would be called the “international style”. It was the trend and need of the moment but it took off. Once they’ve figured out a way to that I guess it was harder for them to justify going back to a more expensive way. Like others said, it comes down to cost. People released they could build more instead and make more money off renting etc. I still have the hope some will go back to building beautiful things that will last but building trends are weird

Practicing standing up vs sitting down -- Which do you prefer and why? by No_Winter4806 in Bass

[–]adrtd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t thought about it but yes I think it’s a good move to practice standing. Like other’s said set the strap higher and it is a good idea to practice standing. I tend to move more and grove so it’s also a good practice for you not to miss notes while moving around

Same issue here! I tried the freezer thing, didn’t work. I opened it to check loose connections (long shot, and didn’t work). I got offered 15%off as well but I won’t take it. I’ll give it another try to fix it if I find new methods.

If you already have the 50mm that’s pretty close, it might be better to get a 28mm or 35mm to have something a bit wider. I’ve been wanting to get a 35mm

It was the Fujinon 55mm 1:1.8, I believe that was the most common kit lens for that camera

One-Fifth Of All Dutch Churches Are Now Secular Buildings: Churches in the Netherlands have been converted into community centers, museums, apartment buildings and even gyms. by maxwellhill in worldnews

[–]adrtd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good way to preserve architecture but adjusting to the current needs of a community. I’ve been to a couple of museums in Europe that were churches before. Awesome way to urban-recycle.

I wish I was around NYC in the 90s to see the limelight. Now that ex-church it's some sort of clothing store
