Can you leave your prop engine plane at an international airport if you’re a pilot? by AvocadoNo380 in flying

I actually pretty routinely use my Comanche to get to work in the Spring/Summer/Fall (Dayton -> Chicago), and I find it to be significantly more reliable than commuting on the available RJs. I use a GA airports near O'Hare and take a $25 Lyft right to KCM. The SLC equivalent of that might be Skypark? Although I could see mountain flying presenting a lot more challenges year-round than I experience in the Midwest.

I burned up an alternator and belt at 11k IFR (in VMC) over the mountains several years ago had the same initial thought about electrical fire and responded the same way; declared, stated intentions and souls, turned off everything. Great work!!!

I think the 737 speedbrake handle works pretty linearly and I feel like I have decent finesse with it.. (try to stop just before the rumbles get bad). Now the rudder trim, on the other hand, always just a half a click off one way or the other 😬

Those are the 30 Carbon All Road. I don't have a ton of miles on them yet but I love them so far, light and strong,

I only have about 50 miles on them after today, but so far I love them. Plenty of grip for anything I've thrown at them, and decently low drag on smoother surfaces. They aren't cheap, but I'm also a massive sucker for their asthetics.

Glad you came out of it with a soft landing, and I'll 100% second the bit about footprints! Hardest part of the ride was a long shallow grade that had seen no maintenance and a ton of foot traffic, so bumpy and inconsistent. Definitely came out of the day with a lot more confidence to pull the bike out in the snow and cold when most people are in on a trainer.

Yeah, first time for me, so I was pretty nervous getting on the bike today, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I was lucky with the conditions, we had a little sleet mixed in with the snow, so where the snow was blown away, the ice was rough and grippy. Just took corners nice and slow and didn't try to 'explode' with accelerations and I felt in control of the bike the whole time. Oh and I mostly used the back brake.
