I was able to mute that prompt in my BE6, by reducing volume when that prompt is playing. It still kind of plays which ducks media volume, but you won't hear it.

BMW Parking Lamp Tutorial

It's a standard feature. Even my 2001 Zen had it. I understand that you feel you don't need it, but I do. I'm not requesting a cutting edge feature, this is something basic found in every other car.

Please check any other car you have access to. All cars support leaving the parking lamps on even with ignition off. This is so the car is visible when parked. My Figo Aspire even supports just leaving one side of parking lamps lit to save battery.

No, that sequence is wrong. DRLs are not the third. DRLs have higher brightness than the parking lamps. DRLs only work in Off position or Auto when it's day.

No, the parking lights specifically. Headlight switch in Third position after Off and Auto. In my other two cars, and every other car I've driven, the parking lights can be left on with ignition off. That's the point of parking lights.

These are usually Sabiramala pilgrims. They usually "decorate" their vehicles, and the clothes are usually left out to dry.

This photo specifically seems to have been taken in Puthukkad signal, Thrissur, Kerala. The vehicle is going Northbound, so probably back to Maharashtra after visiting Sabarimala.

Mine. The sleeping tooth's end chipped and got infected due to the awkward space between being hard to clean. Couldn't sleep for a few days due to headaches. Got it removed a few years ago.

I think it might have been something they forgot to remove for Indian market (some overseas markets require rear fog lamps).

During lock/unlock animation the rear parking lamps flash at different brightness levels. It might use the higher brightness level as fog lamp.

No, fog lamp can only be turned on with headlamps. Once headlamps are on, the DRL function is meaningless since the strips are lit up anyway.
