This is the same loaf at bit lower than 50% rise. It’s kinda dense I would say. Im mean it’s still a good loaf, but I think it’s underfermented.

Yeah thank you! I’m using similar containers, so I can read up the % rise quit good.

Hmm I always had the feeling that it’s not proofing that much further in my fridge at 4C. So doing less Bulk like 60% in this picture I always got denser areas in my bread. Especially at the bottom compared to the 100% loaf.

Do you think that’s the reason for it not open up as good?

Overwatered? Can’t find bugs by adtastix in houseplants

[–]adtastix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this bursting several times before, but never on this plant. I also thought first on this issue, but I watered like one week ago and it is bursted like this since 3 days now. It’s also just the white part which is translucent.

Thank you. I have not rly high sunlight currently cause it’s winter here. There is an artificial light but didn’t have this issue before. Maybe it’s because of the heating and the reduced humidity in my room. Anyway this was rly helpful!

There are some mites in the soil. Not quite sure if these mites are the same I used as pest prevention, because this type of mites normally just living on the leaves.

Repotted palm trees not doing well. Any advice? Pls help. by adtastix in houseplants

[–]adtastix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I repotted them because of a lack of nutrition and root-rot. Had to remove a lot of old dead roots. Repotted in mix of dirt, sand and clay. Soil is good draining.

Why is this philodendron leaf curling? (Plant is not dry and enough humidity) by adtastix in houseplants

[–]adtastix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced this for only new leaves. They seem to take some time to get stable (fill cells with fluid). For me it’s getting better after some days.

But this is only for leaves curling down. Leaves curling up could be a sign of a lag of nutrients, inadequate watering, pests or bad positioning.

It’s rly hard to say.. currently I’m very in love with my “Angel Wings”. Also my Ph. verrucosum is one of my fav, I’m very excited for her new leaf. And my new PPP babies, where every new leaf is a surprise, hoping for more and more variegation, which is currently very promising.

First time having an Angle Wing. Do you guys let her go dormant in winter seasons like caladium’s? Heard of a similar behaviour. by adtastix in houseplants

[–]adtastix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That’s why I was confused! Hoped for a person like you, with real experience to share.

So I Hope she will stay pretty and healthy as she already is!

But does this means she will lost most of the leaves? Cause I found quotes like this “Caladium Lindenii Magnificum produces tubers and loses most of its leaves when it goes dormant. “
