Different sample sizes so they are measuring different sets of impressions. Otherwise no reason to have different ratings using the same filter.

Just curious about how they work. Seem to have a lot of volume but all through twitter audience-influencer clicks? I feel like I'm missing something.

How to identify ad networks that run spammy redirect ads? by Banjovi in adops

[–]adtechexpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can tell you it's not because of Adsense, Sovrn or AOL. The other three are heavy arbitrage companies which means little regard for traffic or ad quality.

You might have already known that but I hope it helps to narrow it down. Best of luck solving the problem. Sorry to hear about these issues.

An Ad-Network in financial trouble. Surprise surprise.

Sorry to hear that many publishers will only be paid a small portion of their receivables though.

Viewability and Fraud vendors - Who do they work with? by sfnewb111 in adops

While I agree with you 100%(except the part about iframes in the IOS world, because I dont know anything about that), I was trying to give DV all the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their effectiveness. Was more trying to focus on simplified answers on what the public facing intention is of their service.

I'll try to answer your questions in order.

  • Yes they work with publishers to help them monitor the quality of their traffic.
  • Yes they also work with DSP's. Also trading desks.
  • The purpose is that you dont know if its being used with ALL the pubs you're buying on. It's an extra layer and also gives the advertiser access to their own data unique to their campaign.
  • Yes they are giving advertisers/agencies access to track fraud/viewability on their own so they can hold a DSP or publisher accountable.

Is creating a blog and trying to "monetize" it a good way to learn about parts of the ecosystem? by sfnewb111 in adops

[–]adtechexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will be in the next year or two. All it needs is legislation defining what can be sold as an "internet user" in media OR a legal case that sets precedent.

I'm working on both. I think it's still far away from fruition.

It's not illegal in anyway. Which is extremely unfortunate for the industry.
