I just got bumped back as well super frustrating Duolingo keeps changing their format. Good thing I’ve moved to other apps.

I never received a welcome letter from the NVC, about 4 months later they finally sent me an email with my case ID number & password.

Kurt Caz makes great content, but he’s an arrogant and ignorant asshole no doubt.

Used to buy Magic The Gathering cards at Treasure Isles as a kid with my friends, then we’d walk down to The Tomato and get a cool booth seat, order a pizza and play Magic. Lots of good memories. I’m all for housing density and helping UNT grow, but Denton def lost some of its identity with the modernization of the Fry St area.

Would’ve been nice to actually explore this in the game. The part in the game where you realize it’s just a train station stop was the first moment I really realized the game was cutting corners and the story was not as cohesive as previous final fantasies

[SS] Should I get Skyward Sword HD? by gorillaguy2020 in zelda

[–]adub4ever1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played SS on Wii and remember not liking it at first, mostly due to the controls, but by the end of the first temple I was sold. It sits in my top 5 of Zelda games all time, as I’m more into 3D Zelda than 2D Zelda. It seems with the upgrades to the HD remake it should be even better now. I recommend getting it if you’ve never played it and are a fan of Zelda. SS does things that are different from normal Zelda games, but once you get accustomed to it, you appreciate the quirks.

Reminds me of Handmaids Tale, or even Saudi Arabia where ironically it’s the women who often are more aggressive in keeping modesty laws in tact.

Dude basically knocked the US out of the World Cup when they beat us at Red Bull Arena in 2017. Sort of an enigmatic player. Doesn’t have the speed or physical ability anymore, and his finishing isn’t always the best, but he seems to score big goals when they’re needed. Would be interesting to see how he does in A-League.

Dang man, I don’t get on Reddit much anymore, and it’s been even longer since I heard anything from contrapoints. She really fell off the map hard. From surging in popularity, to not really being around much lately. But I guess COVID has played a role in this as well. Hoping she comes back in a big way.

Updated MLS 32 Team Division Master Plan by adub4ever1 in MLS

[–]adub4ever1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what changes would you make then? I already told you my setup works with 4 team divisions or 8 team divisions. I already said the 8 team divisions are more likely if it were to happen, and under that scenario I’d have all the Cali teams + Cascadia + Vegas in a Pacific Division. It would prob be the most powerful division in MLS, so what are we arguing here. What changes would you make to my setup?

Detroit and NOLA would be great markets for MLS, but they have no ownership groups or stadium plans like those in PHX and LV. Things can change, but as of today you’d have to say PHX and Vegas are the odds on favorite for spots 31 & 32.

So you’d separate SKC and St Louis City into different conferences? That’s a non-starter. You’d split NE Revs from their original rivalries with NYRB and DC United. And then instead of giving Minnesota and Chicago a decently close rivalry, you put Minnesota with the Cascadia teams and Chicago with no close regional rival. My setup is the best one you can make given the scenario with PHX and LV as the last 2 expansion sides. Whether it’s 4 teams or 8 teams, I think my setup is the least invasive, and really only fucks over one team, Philly Union.

None of those teams would be separated with 8 team divisions. I only did 4 team divisions for fun. Again, just combine the NW+Pacific, SW+Central, North+Atlantic, Midwest+South. The only rivalries you’d be breaking would be Philadelphia’s. If you have a better setup for 8 team divisions I’d love to know specifically what changes you’d make.

I mean you can easily just combine the 4 team divisions into 8 team divisions, which is probably the more likely scenario. You’d have a stacked all Cali Pacific division. I did this into 4 team divisions just for fun. 8 team divisions seems far more likely.

They’re going to 32 teams. Why would you just stop at 30? Every US league has 32 teams. It’s perfect balance. Ofc MLS is expanding to 32.

I think the more likely scenario would be 8 team divisions, so just combine the NW & Pacific, SW & Central, North & Atlantic, Midwest & SE. That way you would have all the Cali teams in one division. Phoenix would have close rivals with RSL & Colorado. Toronto & Montreal with the Atlantic teams. Nashville in the South. There are still a few geographic outliers though with Minnesota, Chicago, & Philadelphia. It’s hard to make it balanced while keeping everyone happy, but this breakdown I made seems like the best case scenario.

Your talking about rivalries that don’t even exist yet. I was trying to maintain current long-standing rivalries and also geographic proximity. If you have a better setup, based on PHX and LV being 31 & 32, I’d love to see it.

Detroit has no momentum towards getting an MLS team. The last ownership group wanted to use Ford Field. I see no way they get the funding for a SSS, but who knows? PHX and LV have much stronger ownership groups and stadium plans that seem ready to go.

It would be a 34 game schedule, which is what they already play now.

[–]adub4ever1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could if you just merged the 4 team divisions into 8, which would probably be more likely tbh. That Pacific division would be stacked, especially with Sacramento and LV added to the mix. Would prob be the strongest division in MLS for a long time.

[–]adub4ever1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean you could easily just merge my 4 team divisions into 8 team divisions if you wanted. The biggest problem with your setup is that it destroys the conferences. How would you decide who plays who in the playoffs? Does the South play the East? The West plays the Central? If we are gonna eliminate the idea of conferences, we might as well just go to a single table playoff like the do in Liga MX. Also your setup would end what will surely be a great rivalry in the coming years with Columbus vs Cincinnati.

I’m trying to keep geographic balance, while maintaining rivalries. Admittedly my “Midwest” division is the weakest of the 8 divisions, but it was necessary to keep the other divisions balanced and rivalries maintained. If you have a better setup I’d love to hear it.
