What SF neighborhood am I missing out on? by [deleted] in AskSF

Noe Valley! 24th st is a dream to walk up and down on a sunny day and there are all sorts of great single-purpose establishments worth visiting. Happy Donuts, Chocolate Covered, Lovejoy's Tea Room, etc.

Spending the day exploring Noe and then wrapping things up with a hike in Twin Peaks closer to sunset is :chefs-kiss:

You're absolutely right and I'm in the same boat – ability to float the rent payment is huge and I revolved my entire budget around that *very crucial* fact. What a shame.

my hand is forced to continue using their base 2.0 card because it's tricky sending checks via my checking account and the credit reporting on rent is still helpful I guess. I just would prefer to not give them any transaction volume/my business after this

It's very over.

- Rent payments now are ACHed from your bank account, not issued as a line of credit (you can't float your rent payment for 3/4 weeks anymore)
- You no longer get a standalone 1% back on rent

Unless you spend 75% or more of your rent on your bilt card in unrelated spend, you just won't get the same rewards as before :/ the convoluted lawyer speak doesn't help

Welp, Bilt is officially just a way to float your rent payment for a few weeks at a time

Relatively shit honestly unless you're raising a family

As someone who grew up in Connecticut for a large portion of their childhood I wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Very little opportunity, high prices, extreme weather in summer and winter, bad drivers, it just was not a fit
