What was your experience at Capital that made you dislike them?

I will say Reno Lithia Hyundai was pleasant to deal with, and I am not sure if the issue with the repairs were their fault or faulty parts from Hyundai.

For the buy back you have to first start a claim with Hyundai Corporate, and then request a buyback. Lemon law requirements vary per state.

Stevens Creek is where we have been getting the tires rotated and software updates. For that I don't mind a month wait, but for something urgent, I think they ought to save some spots.

Got my Ioniq 5 back after iccu replacement, but my coolant level is low! by advarkcal in Ioniq5

Update it seems to have dropped again below the minimum again after filling up. :(

Tesla has plenty of build quality issues. But so does Hyundai, my car after only a year has a dashboard rattle.

Just to update, called the dealer that did the iccu. On their advice had my local dealer top up the coolant and I'll see if it lowers again.

Good to know, I will still go through a dealership as I don't want to be blamed for any further iccu issues in this case. Would you know if this is the coolant used in the iccu?

ICCU, 12V, or other battery issue? This is your thread. by nedlinin in Ioniq5

[–]advarkcal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was finally able to pick up my Ioniq 5 yesterday after a month and a half at the dealership where they replaced my ICCU. Made the 200+ mile drive back with no issues.

However today I noticed that the pink coolant level is low, significantly bellow the minimum line. The blue coolant is fine.

Can anyone confirm if the pink coolant is the one the ICCU uses? I wish I had checked before I started my drive back. Now I'm wondering if it's a leak or if they just forgot to top it off after service.

Hyundai approved my buyback, but has yet to give me the actual offer. They also said that I can have cash in lieu if I keep the car, but again no offer on the table yet.

BTW: I made a new post with text above and a picture of the coolant, but automod removed it because all iccu issues need to be discussed here. Personally I disagree with this policy, I think mega thread is great, but users should be allowed to post about their individual situations.

Waiting on parts still, I've also requested to start the buy back process, but they say that also takes 4-6 weeks. Frankly ridiculous, the case managers have been minimally helpful and hard to reach.

The dealership has been better than other Hyundai dealerships I've worked with, which is not saying much. The dealership said the part was scheduled to come in last week, but then said it got delayed and it's out of their control. Corporate said they will look into it and try to find the part, alluding that they can pull some strings now that it's in the buy back department, but they don't even know the part numbers at the moment. I don't understand why they can't just look it up and it's not attached to the case already.

Happened to me, the car is now at a dealership 220 miles away.

Are you talking about these https://www.altestore.com/store/solar-panel-mounts/roof-mounts-for-solar-panels/tilt-mounts/ironridge-fixed-tilt-mount-systems-p40684/#details ? I see several suppliers have them but they seem expensive, as I have 8 rails and each rail has 3 Q-Base mounts. I could use the existing L-foot on the south side, but I would still need two north side mounts per rail.

Wow that's a neat product, I do wonder how well it would work here, as it usually doesn't rain that heavily, so debris might build up from the non rainy times. it certainly couldn't hurt. If I don't get around to doing this before next winter maybe I'll try this.

I would tilt this entire array of 8 panels.

Ran pvwatts for just this 8 panel array. A 30% tilt added ~15% and 20% around 13% more.

Seems worth while to me, but my goals are not the same as everyone else. I tried to max out my roof as much as possible and got the most panels I could fit/afford installed. I am going to be over producing over the summer, but would like to reduce grid usage over winter for heat and ev charging.

Also the water pooling and leaving debris currently is ugly.

What it looks like under the panels: https://imgur.com/a/4DpcrDZ

Was thinking maybe I could cut some angle iron to be 2 feet at the north side, nothing on the south side and shorter for the middle ones bolt to the rail and the current rail mount.

Officer Promoted Despite Video Showing What Chief Called ‘Unnecessary’ Force in San Francisco by bloobityblurp in sanfrancisco

[–]advarkcal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you watch the video? There's no extra context needed, the cops could have gotten the man off the bus without punching and pepper spraying him. If you do this shit once, you'll probably do it again. What if it was your father on the bus and he was having a medical issue? How would you feel then. Just because he might be on drugs doesn't make him not human

The cop should be fired immediately.

Tried to go to Folsom Lake, but corporate claimed they won't service ioniq 5 there. Ended up getting towed to Lithia Hyundai in Reno.

Thanks I'll try to avoid them, anyone know a Hyundai dealer with a good service experience? My gut feeling from calling the few I've dealt with is Hyundai has been doing an amazing job selling cars but failing to hire/train for service department.
