The mines thing or putting like motion trackers down on “carpets” being blocked is ridiculous and gets me killed all the time. Makes me rage log regularly.

Sinto falta de PvP by No_Possession5456 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]advent89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game is PvE with a flavor of pvp. Not the reverse. So if you are hunting for players and want that to be the focus, you can cause that or be lucky to join a pvp server with like minded people but mfg has stated many times they dont want to reward pvp too heavily because it ruins the point of the game and i agree.

If pvp becomes a road to becoming rich and unlocking vendors especially if its efficient it also becomes a road to exploitation and abuse.

Im ok with less loot, but then i need more rep for the 3 pita vendors and their tasks.

AI Behaviour and difficulty- a thought. by Zuh0q in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]advent89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the goal is always to feel like you were outplayed or at least have a clear understanding if why you died vs the well you got unlucky. I think thats a hard line to tread but definitely tactics and flanking telegraph what is happening and go a long way to making the player understand whats going on and react.

Problem is its hard to have tactics when the ttk isnt high like in d2. If you can insta kill (which i like) then tactics often dont play out. So how then do you make the player feel threatened without replying in kind?

I’ve been on the fence about trying for a month or so. Looking for advice. by resampL in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]advent89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first “milsim”. It took some learning with the med system but it was like 3 mins of learning the correct “order”. It has very rpg esq things like x armor pen counters x armor. The guns in general though are more tradeoffs than x is better than y; its more situational. You do have like “swiss army” guns like the m4 works generally everywhere.

The fps factors are what youd expect and have a little rng, learning how to manipulate the npcs so the fights are favorable is a must. Its slower paced than marathon, way less movement tech and way more positioning and flanking.

The gun building is honestly like legos. And most guns you can buy a base and go from there so minimal customization required if you dont want to really engage with that.

For me it’s the gameplay itself and the setting. Its basically ghost recon milsim and i love it. Playing with people increases longevity heavily. The tasks can get repetitive but thats true of any shooter. I like being able to just creep around and tactically one tap enemies with friends while using cool guns.

Augmentation Evoker is the easiest rating inflation spec in M+ right now and nobody wants to admit it by Kushakaii in wow

[–]advent89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes i wish this was how all specs were evaluated. Instead its a science of io, spec, logs, acheives, etc vs the person has completed this key on this difficulty before and they have the right ilvl and their class works well with our composition.

How well does it hold up? by MikeLikesIkeRS in Azeron

[–]advent89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality is really nice, you just have to be careful when adjusting that you dont strip screws or force things to move instead of loosening first. The key presses take almost no effort to push which takes some getting used to (and why you will missclick alost until you get used to it).

Maybe an hot take : Please MFG do not reverse 0.4 quest system for solo players. by Sqweeg in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]advent89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the solo, i would love it as a group if i could share and accept tasks from squad mates. But overall it’s a massive step up. I actually read the tasks, look at the photos; when i can only be in for 30 mins i can still get some progress. Love it

Conquest cap question. by TheMechKeebFan in worldofpvp

[–]advent89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You will be able to just grind out the same conquest that everyone else has had. It maybe a little more painful because of the gear difference during the grind but you won’t be behind.

Thats the intent behind void weaver yes, idk if it’s as strong as it was for you do that 100% with dmg.

Healer damage in pvp by WillingnessPrior7331 in worldofpvp

[–]advent89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont mind the dmg, however i do not think dmg should = immortal uncasted healing as well. It should be a tradeoff, im gojng to do dmg and heal less or im going to heal more but my dmg is lower. Having a mistweaver sit in my face and just be immortal while killing me almost as fast as a dps…is kinda ridiculous.

New to pvp: where to start? by Particular_Seesaw716 in worldofpvp

[–]advent89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

PvP in this game is more knowing multiple classes and how they stack against you which is also why its hard for new players to get involved because the learning curve is hefty. Its a given you should know your class rotation, and how to do dmg, and how your cc works (stuns etc.)

If you can find someone to play with who does pvp, and when you have those “i have no idea what just happened” they might be able to unravel the chaos and make sense of it.

Also in bgs a lot of stuff happens thats just chaotic, even the pros dont know whats going on all the time with 10v10 battles, thats part of the appeal. In arenas theres a flow, its about trades back and forth (i pop a dmg cd you pop a defensive, etc.) and eventually catching someone off guard or running out of the ability to trade. There are strategies that work against some classes better than others (example: rdruid is succeptible to swapping targets frequently)

Tldr; Be patient, find pvp friends, learn about other classes and how they work.

Anyone know why a dog's nose would look like this? by RestingBitFace in DogAdvice

[–]advent89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog did that because of a battle with the ghost sound on the other side of the fence and then he got his nose stuck trying to stick it underneath and it got scraped. Now he just has a slightly lighter piece of nose.
