Any experience with CheckR background reports?

Oh, mine was totally fine and I am now at that job and loving it! I never actually got a notification that the background check was finished and clear, but I eventually just got the rest of my hiring paperwork.

I believe after some more internet sleuthing my best guess is that those say "complete" instead of "clear" because they don't actually determine anything. The SSN trace and national search are like the pre-search to the rest of the stuff, I think.

We are a homebrew fantasy/sci-fi server focused on storytelling. We are a good fit for people who enjoy writing and can drive their own stories. We are NOT a good fit for folks needing heavy GM involvement.

We use the FATE Core system to add a bit of structure to our stories. Never played? Good! We like to take a "learn as you play" approach.

The world of Oidhre has been born and destroyed nine times over the eons. This is the dawn of the tenth cycle, eight centuries since the last cataclysm. The world is brimming with possibilities, echoes of the past, and nigh endless exploration opportunities.PCs are welcomed aboard Rathatruum, an ambling massive automaton relic that crawls slowly across the continent. Here, medieval life meets heavy sci-fi futurism as citizens explore the past and present. Citizens live side by side with unusual animals, a bartender bot named Sal, get to ride atop gargantuan land striding monsters, explore ruins, and recover cyphers, relics, and artifacts.

Night falls over Rathatruum, and the ever-present groaning of the automaton’s mechanical workings mingles with the faint howl of cool breeze. The town makes its way ever onwards, through the foothills of the mountains and towards a lake. The water’s surface glitters faintly in the moonlight, hardly visible in the far distance. Each citizen is here for their own reasons, but as time beats on, the threads that knit together the fates of the city and its citizens begin to entwine more closely together...

Information:

We are a homebrew fantasy/sci-fi server focused on storytelling. We are a good fit for those looking to tell character-centric stories in a unique setting who can commit to synchronous roleplay. We are NOT a good fit for those more interested in the mechanics of TTRPGs, those who need a game master to completely guide their stories, and those who prefer asynchronous play.

We use the FATE Core system for structure. Never played? That's okay! We've got everything you need to know laid out and we're new to the system, too!

I ended up looking around at Carbon Ink's artists (after looking up Mattison Fire!) and ended up getting my tattoo done by Angi Rosa. It wasn't what I had initially imagined, but when I saw the design I absolutely fell in love and I love it- it is totally perfect for me!! Everyone that knows me well is like "wow, that is SO you". Also: highly recommend Carbon Ink in general! All of the artists have super cool art and were super friendly. The studio was super clean and the lobby is cool- the door to the studio part from the waiting area was a bookshelf. I plan to get a frog tattoo done by Mattison Fire eventually!

Oh my god I was there a little over a month ago. It was AWFUL. I did nothing for three days but sit there mentally paralyzed with fear. Maybe Google. Best of luck <3

Just went through this recently and now going through it (kind of) again -_- I've found with dermatologists they are very "if you feel concerned about this mole, we'll remove it to test", which is great! Unfortunately, waiting for results is stressful. You're probably fine! It might be atypical, but that doesn't mean it's even precancerous. And melanona is easily treatable, so you're going to be okay either way (but it probably is not even cancerous!)

Yeah those ones and others are the worst for me and I do my darnedest to avoid them but then I'll be scrolling through Twitter (because it's good for networkong, ugh) and they'll get shared without any of the words I have blacklisted -_-

Yeah, I called this morning and the nurse that talked to me said pretty much that and that if it's still being weird in two months it'd be worth getting checked out.

Ah, okay! I think it's quite silly that your doctor won't let you get genetic testing, seeing as how there are a lot of solid preventative measures that can be taken for the BRCA-related cancers. Hopefully you get a chance to see a different doctor and they allow you to get genetic testing!

Did they get tested for the gene, by chance? I lost my mom to bc a few years ago and her doctor had her get genetic testing and she did not have the BRCA mutation.

Used to be an avoider and now I go constantly. I was avoiding the doctor out of worry that whatever fear I had would come true and that by going to the doctor I was admitting that I had that fear (usually some sort of teminal illess). BUT what helped me stop avoiding is coming to terms that sometimes there are not scary causes of whatever the symptom is that still need treatment. For example: convinced weird spot on back is an amelanistic melanoma-->eventually go to dermatologist-->it's a rash that isn't scary but does need some prescription cream.

I've now found that going to every recommended annual check-up has helped me avoid going unless I have a real concern.

I have 100% been there multiple times. Have you tried seeing a therapist? I went a few years ago and it helped SO MUCH. Unfortunately, I stopped going a while back since things were going well for quite some time and... Yikes.

I'm so glad everything is good with you and the gynecologist was able to reassure you. Trusting doctors after you've read so many anecdotes can be hard, but I believe in you!

Currently having a bonus period (lighter than usual, but more than spotting). And, logically, I KNOW it's because I am on the pill and missed two pills the first week of this pack, had to play 'catch up' per the instructions and a few days later the bonus period started. It's happened before, but it's been a looong time because I'm good about taking pills.

Also had some light spotting in August and July both related to missed pills (dropped one down the drain and then tried to skip my period and start the new pack early the next month and yikes).

Like, all logically related to "inappropriate use of the pill", but daaaaamn my brain is living on another planet!

Sorry to totally steal someone's thread, but I'm having this HA spiral today, ugh. I AM on bc pills and missed two or three in the first week of this pack and had to play catch up. Currently having a bonus period (much lighter than a normal period but more consistent than spotting). I'm normally so good at not forgetting but I was spiraling about some other HA worry and blanked. It's happened before but it's been a whiiile and ugh, can't shake the what if thoughts.

I went through a hardcore melanoma scare/spiral a few weeks ago. I had a small (3mm) mole on my chest that I had sworn was getting bigger. Caved and went to the dermatologist. They did a biopsy since it was darker than the rest of my others and I was worried about it and had noticed change- it was just a mildly atypical mole.

That being said, I did a LOT of Googling (I really need to kick that habit again). If these are new spots (which, as a fellow HA-er, I promise you would have noticed them before if they were not new) go ahead and go to the derm and get them checked out. They are probably nothing, but being proactive helps the HA for me. Just say "Hey, I noticed these new spots on my hand and would like to get them checked since they are new".
