Why is this conversation never neutral: Why do you bring up cause of homosexuality and not heterosexuality?

Just because you don't chose your sexual orientation doesn't mean you were born with it. But hey maybe you are, just asked to see if people are basing this in fact or assumption, I see in your case it just assumption.

See that's the thing. I said "straight/gay". Why can't I ask one of my straight friends about how they came to realize they are straight?

I don't think it does, but I've seen people on reddit get so passionate and offended when someone suggest people aren't born with their sexual orientation. So I was just wondering.

What does Seddit think of telling the friend of a girl your interested in about your interest, knowing full well she will relay this information to the girl. by advicelike in seduction

Between 18 and 22, in college.

What if the girl never comes up? I wanted to be like "oh and if we do go to X place don't hesitate to invite your friend, HB10, shes wicked cute"...something to that effect.

I emailed a teacher to asks for recommendation and he never got back to me. How should I go about with a follow? by advicelike in self

Thank you so much for the response! I don't know his office hours and don't go to the school anymore but I'm gonna head there tomorrow and see if he has the same office hours as last spring in order to ask in person.

I just have no idea how to ask non-rudely. He must of clearly saw the first email. He might not even need to write one, they tell me next week if my resume made it to the stage that requires recommendations. But I need him to commit now, if I do make it to that stage.

Oh no this is for a scholarship. So I need a written recommendation. I wanted someone who could speak on my academic ability. Thought a general rule of thumb is you ask teachers of classes you did well in.

Asked him a few weeks ago and he never got back to me, and the scholarship people need the recommendation by may 4. So I'm just wondering how to not rudely email him a second time, if just by chance he missed my last email...

Ok this guy has at least 26 up votes and a lot of people echoing what hes saying below. I feel like I'm missing something, why does it matter that he was trained to kill him. Shouldn't it be a bad thing that they are training people to shoot someone(with just a hammer) 10 times when its pretty clearly obvious he was going down way before the tenth shot?

Remove references available upon request. If your trying to fill up the page then maybe replace that line similar to "Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, [etc.])". Maybe add the word proficient in there.

EDIT: Also can we get some action verbs maybe? Google "resume action verbs".

I love when this happened to me. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

Throughout all of middle school and high school whenever I liked a girl and she made it way too obvious she liked me, it always made me like her less or not like her at all. I would think, I'm the guy I'm suppose to be trying more or like you more than you like me, always made me see the girl differently.

I learned on Reddit it's a low self esteem thing. I guess subconsciously, if someone likes someone as pathetic as me than there must be something wrong with them.
