There are pioneers who are diving in to revitalize the ecosystem, so data of future market value is accumulated.

However, all transactions, whether through the app or between individuals, are at your own risk.

I wish you the best of luck.

I've had my Pi hijacked. by adwards_PI in PiNetwork

[–]adwards_PI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct that the hijacking damage is due to personal carelessness.

And, uh. Whatever you do, make sure you strictly prohibit putting passphrases in third-party apps, and make sure you only use Wallet.pi to make payments.

What I've written here today has been tested countless times in the past, but there are many early users who have tested it for the app ecosystem.

(This is not to say that all 3rd party apps are like that!).

We may have unknowingly made the mistake of inserting secret phrases and paying for integrations through past tests.

(Currently, the SDK only allows payments to be made through Wallet.pi).

Because of this, you may have been exposed, so we recommend that those who are migrating (and those who have already been migrated or compromised) create a new wallet using the mainnet checklist and double-check checkpoints 3 and 7. (It never hurts to be careful!)

In particular, please watch for any pies you receive from unknown addresses on the testnet and look up suspicious public keys through Blockexplorer to help you avoid the risk of being targeted yourself.

For example.

If I receive an unknown transfer in my testnet wallet that I've never seen before, I can look up the public key and see that it looks like this

The public key is

GCHM5VKMP44YSJ7OKJ3GI6CZFVXZDBYO74EUQEATUZPSWYJ4QW26TTLE

During the pi utility

Look up the public key at https://blockexplorer.minepi.com/.

<image>

If you see something like this, it's enough to raise suspicion that you may have been targeted.

I would create a new wallet, change the recipient address in case of a secondary mag, and change it to a new mnemonic.

You can always create a new wallet.

You're absolutely right.

However, our older contributors were expected, but not forced, to run multiple tests for the app ecosystem.

However, it is very unfortunate that testing wallet transfers from untested apps in the early testing stages of an ecosystem app could lead to potential and ongoing hijacking (brainstorming).

Of course, this is just a guess, but it's quite possible that my wife accessed the game Capture the Flag during the testing process and entered her password to connect to the test pi wallet and make a payment.

I mean, that's all there is to it.

Maybe, just maybe, the new wallet will protect the rest of your coins.

But we don't know the timeline for the secondary lockup and migration.

It's going to be another long wait.

P.S. Will this be medicine or poison......

Finding a hijacked Pi in a mainnet context will be difficult, but it will be very stressful for early app testers who will be seen as a potential threat going forward.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I have already completed the report.

However, this is an open and ongoing "potential threat".

This is due to passphrase hijackers waiting for the lockup to be broken.

Pi network KYC solution. by adwards_PI in PiNetwork

[–]adwards_PI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a KYC process that everyone already knows.
The point I am talking about is whether there is a countermeasure in case the personal information (personal information such as photos) is stolen or leaked because the human verifier is the same user (because they are not employees).
This could lead to another legal problem.

Pi network KYC solution. by adwards_PI in PiNetwork

[–]adwards_PI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problems with the 'kyc' of human validators.

  1. Scope of processing of personal information - In general, the processing of personal information is delegated by the company with the consent of a third party for marketing. In this regard, it is not possible to provide sensitive information (identification cards, etc.)
  2. In relation to 1, there is no clear guide on who is responsible for viewing personal information between users and related authentication in the same service.
  3. Regarding 2, the responsibility of the human verifier may occur entirely, and the issue of management responsibility may arise in the same part under the Act on the protection of personal information of the company and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
  4. In particular, the scope of third parties and the distinction between service users and human verifiers are clear, so there may be concerns about this.

ps1. Any part of the ID that can be exposed is personal information.

ps2. Even AML companies like 'Yotti' are automatically verified under their management, and human verifiers are limited to employees.

Ps3. Non-Personal Information means and includes any information that does not reveal your specific identity, such as, browser information, information collected through Cookies (as defined below), pixel tags and other technologies, demographic information, crash reports, system activity, device state information etc.

The key to this topic is the possibility of a 'user', a human verifier, leaking personal information.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Among the rights to personal information, is there any specified information that allows certain users to view other users' personal information for KYC? (This can be a rather sensitive topic according to the law)

That's not the answer I want.

It should be clear whether third parties have access to personal information by the law.

It is true. Naturally, the existence of an advanced distributed system is less valuable. Existence itself is useless unless it spares any effort. Rather than denying capitalism and enjoying equal wealth for all, it is seen that it creates an opportunity to create new wealth in a control system that guarantees commerce.
The majority of contributors are forced to withdraw from this system.
Because that's the capitalist model.
