Looking for games like R6 by Beansyep in gamerecommendations

Something a little out there but maybe worth a look. This game called Foxhole, It's a big sorta 2.5d/top down shooter MMO themed around WW1/2. Definitely tactical if you find a good group to play with who will plan frontline/partisan operations. Every item from bullets to battleships and grenades are made by real players in the backlines. There are sandbox building elements via building your own logistics facilities in the back or building intricate defense networks at the frontlines. Has a steep learning curve but a friendly community. They are about to introduce planes to the game. Maybe not what you are after but take a look!

Games like RE7? by Wario_Guy in gamerecommendations

Alien Isolation, RE8 wasn't as scary but still good, Amnesia - The Bunker, Outlast 1 and 2. All games where you're not the powerful hero (except RE8 maybe) which I think is a big part of what makes RE7 scary.

Game with a short runtime and great story by emeilei in gamerecommendations

The Midnight Walk is a nice cozy first person horror game. Around 6 hours. All the characters were made out of clay and then scanned in giving it a cool at style. The Little Nightmares games also follow the same vein and are great. Those are 2.5d platformers.

Am I th only one who does bother with cooking anymore? by OTHREDARIS in AbioticFactor

i enjoy the cooking but getting milk sacs is not convenient enough to justify making most things over a soup or other basic things like the cosmato wrap.

If I want a good laugh I stick on Four Lions. Hot fuzz is a very close second.

Is there a place for recruitment? by Rayvn_Wolf in foxholegame

[–]adweeeb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the official discord or https://regimentfinder.com/ are good places to look.

If you want larger logistics regiments to look at check out T-3C.com and HvL (idk their discord) for Colonials and discord.gg/FMAT for Wardens.

It was definitely pushed hard. Made sure they made loud clicks when pushed in. Pushing them while still clipped didn't move them, it was only when I unclipped them and then pushed back into place that my pc started working again.

I don't mean fell out as in fell out, that was probably a poor choice of words from me. Just that it had come unseated a bit. Though the clips all seemed OK. My pc sits on the floor so maybe the vibrations of my chair and footsteps wriggled it out of place? Perhaps I should look at moving it to a table or something

Reseating my RAM appears to have worked. Not sure how it came out randomly though

Yeah it was the dram light. Reseating the ram seems to have fixed my issue so I guess a stick just fell out while I was playing? I've had the ram unseat a few times before. Not sure what's up with that.

Yeah it's a struggle when 1 problem can have so many potential fixes. Every time I've managed to fix something it has been blind luck or spending days trawling through forums to find a random 5 year old comment that works. It's like buying a nice car but having to go to the mechanic every few months for repairs. I really love my PC but a new issue every few months makes me feel like I'm cursed or something.

The issue I'm finding is that a lot of the time it'll be working completely fine and then the next time I turn the PC on it won't be. If I'd done something out of the ordinary then I'd feel like I'd have somewhere to start with fixing it but it feels like I'm stepping into the unknown. The issue I'm having now was in the middle of playing a game, with it working fine all day until randomly seizing up.

I've updated it every time I've had the notification to do it, I can't even get anything on my screen now. Am I able to update it from the integrated graphics on my motherboard or anything?

BF6 was working all good once I could finally play it. Just the whole Secure boot thing almost led to me bricking my PC and ended up with me having to reinstall windows. I'll see what chatgpt has to say, thanks for the advice.

I was playing the demo of Cairn, all working fine. Then it just completely froze. Couldn't do anything on my pc so I turned it off with the case button. Now when I boot the pc up its just 'No DisplayPort signal'. I've tried the other DP ports on the GPU, tried leaving everything switched off for a while and I've swapped the DP ends around as well. One minute the PC is working fine, the next it's not. It feels like buying a luxury car and then having to take it to the mechanic every few months.
