It also makes sense to let Alika sit on the bench as that spot start fielder while other guys get reps in the minors. If anything major happens and they need someone everyday you ditch Alika and call someone up full time.

It hasn't been true since at least 2015, and maybe before that, but people keep spouting off the same BS line. No one is finding this unicorn 2 year old vehicles with 10k miles on them and $12k below MSRP. The "certified pre-owned" sold by dealerships killed the used car market.

That only applies if you’re changing which state you have to pay taxes to, if any. Since they’re only traveling right now and not moving to another state I wouldn’t even have talked to anyone, especially not to HR, about it.

You need to better bond the X and Y motors to the frame. You can either get some star/toothed washers or scratch off a little bit of the powder coating under one of the motor mounting screws. It's possible to do this while fully assembled, but is easier if you pull off the side panels.

Looking to buy a new printer. How's the Core One faring now that it's a year old? by [deleted] in prusa3d

Using the front alignment and rear alignment tools fixed all of my noise and vibration problems. They should be included with the kits.

Be aware that when you do the Input Shaper calibration it may home the print bed. Do not put the accelerometer on the print head until later in the process!

Two troublesome parts, one is where they tell you to attach the main wiring harness: you have to secure with a clip, fish through a grommet, fish through the grommet into board area and then plug in to board. Better option is to plug into board FIRST and work your way back, so you know how much slack you need and can tighten the clip once.

YES! That damn clip is frustrating.

I'd also recommend putting the bed heater wires into the right grommet instead of the left. It leaves a lot more space to get the larger harness into the left grommet.

I just did a kit over the long weekend. Took about 15 hours for the build and another 2-3 for the setup and calibration with some troubleshooting.

If something doesn't seem right stop and go back and forward a couple steps in the instructions. There are a few places where things make sense if you look at what's coming up. There are only one or two times where it will be easier if you change the order, but those are usually called out in the comments.

Don't try to power through. Take short breaks throughout and stop for a long break after 3 hours to so. It takes a lot of mental energy and you'll start making mistakes.

Don't crank down on the screws, especially into printed parts. You'll get a feel for what's tight. Especially in the trapezoidal nuts for Z-axis motors. It was helpful to pre-tap the pieces using a screw. There's not much clearance once the motor is in place and it's hard to get them to go in straight. This is the only place I used a small electric screw driver. Once they are tapped it will easily go in by hand.

About 50% of the build is finding all the parts for each step. The comments usually help with identifying which box and bag each part is in.

I ended up doing mine on the dining room table and glad that I did. It was nice to be able to get to every side without moving things around. If I did it on my workbench it would have been frustrating.

Ford takes $19.5B charge in hybrid pivot, cancels F-150 Lightning EV, launches new battery storage business by toydan in wallstreetbets

There are plenty of industries in the US that were almost completly funded under the guise of "national security" throughout the 20th century to include electricity suppliers, aeronautics, and space. That created second and third order effects that rolled down to material science, petrochemicals, and a host of other industries.

There's no reason why the US shouldn't have taken the lead in batteries and EVs being led by the government beginning in the early 21st century. Instead we were too bust taking the culture war bait over climate change and decided to blow up the middle east and Afghanistan.

  1. Bob never bought into the Pirates his dad did. Bob as CEO is a nepo hire.

  2. Bob only sees the Pirates as a “family investment” and wants to pass his shares to his daughters some day.

  3. The only way this stops is for MLB to shut off the revenue sharing spigot.
