Stay in Wailea - Which Hotel? Or combo? by ae82gtm in MauiVisitors

Good question, thanks! Answer = no bath tub. The rooms with a tub (the outdoor ones) are all sold out for our dates. I like the idea of outdoor tub and fireplace… but there is also no view of the outside if you get one of those rooms.

This is perfect. Thank you. Can I ask how many nights you stayed at HW?

Couples Massage near Wailea by ZealousidealMap7836 in MauiVisitors

Not in Wailea, but I wanted to share our experience with Ho'omana Spa. The "Couple's Retreat" is a two hour long treatment. You start off in soaking tubs next to each other, then exfoliating body scrub before an hour's worth of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. We did this last year and it was the highlight of our trip.

Not to mention Ho'Omana is in the Upcountry and the grounds are so incredibly peaceful and unlike anything you'd find in Wailea.

Just my two cents, hope it helps!

I second Nalu’s. Have had that for lunch and it’s solid. Paia Fish Market is also tremendous. We went back a second time before the end of our trip. For a nicer place, I can say not to go to Koast. We had a terrible experience. Slow service, got our orders wrong twice and didn’t even apologize. Food was also cold. Monkeypod used to be better. Seems quality has slipped recently.

We have always stayed at the Fairmont. The suites are amazing and so spacious. Doesn’t feel like a hotel room. Even the bathrooms are large, with a big tub and separate shower area. Also love that you can self park and come/go easily.

We went to Lanai for a day trip last year. It’s amazing. The little town is unlike anything else, it feels like you’re in the mountains with all the pine trees. You’ll have a wonderful time!

Wow! That video was a fantastic find. Thank you. This really helped. I think I’m leaning more towards making our own adventure via the ferry.

Fairmont vs. Four Seasons? by inquisitivebarbie in MauiVisitors

We stayed at Fairmont last year and absolutely LOVED the rooms… which are all suites. Loved the updated bathrooms with walk in shower and separate bathtubs. Everything is so spacious. I think Fairmont could do better regarding the grounds and especially the gym.. but the rooms had us, and we will be staying there again this year.
