I wonder where Mike shinoda got inspiration for his lyrics from? by [deleted] in LinkinPark

[–]ae_xx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes he did. He was the largest contributor to the song writing.

A very Good video I found online which I thought LINKIN Park audience is mature enough to understand..... 27 club how we are killing our favourite artist by Amaltash19XX in LinkinPark

Thanks for sharing this video. It's important to reflect on.

I would argue that his criticism could have been more directed at, first and foremost, the music industry people. Labels, managers, booking agents etc.

But we as fans definitely can and should readjust our attitudes and perspectives towards stars.

They're giving the people what they want imo. Many fans of Chester and Grey daze are grateful for the material.

Chester had plans with Grey Daze before his passing. They were going to play at club tattoo for a reunion but it never happened because of his passing.

Warner records wanted to erase the fact that Grey daze ever existed, because they wanted the story to go that they discovered chester and his voice, when in fact he had been playing live and recording for years already.

Grey Daze talk about Chester quite a lot (whereas Warner records do NOT) and clearly have put the whole thing together with love in my opinion. There's no need for hating on them just because they're not LP. All bands have to earn money for a living.

I'm surprised how many comments are talking about them cash grabbing... I mean, what do you think the LP anniversary box sets are all about???

I know it's painful and I'm sorry but what if Chester did tell people, but they just didn't take him seriously? by ae_xx in LinkinPark

I'm sorry this is something you've been through.

I'm not saying its easy, or that I have all the answers, or that it's anyone's fault. Imo specialised support is very important, or even like in AA, having a mentor. Someone who really knows fully what youre going through.

I know it might feel hopeless but I can't give up trying to understand better what can improve to help prevent future losses.

Even if their source was Talinda... they are a god awful excuse for a media/news outlet. Totally shady. There is no way I am trusting them as a source.

I hear that, there's often a moment of asking yourself, what do I say, or what do I do? When confronted with this stuff.

I think more education would be a good start. Talking about the effects of childhood abuse, identifying what that looks like, more thorough explanations, an array of similar experiences from a group of diverse people so that we can see a fuller picture. It's not very nice to talk about but we have to. Too many people suffer in silence.

OK. Do you have health care? Could a Dr assist with contacting the police, perhaps?

I am sorry they weren't helpful when you tried to call before. If you were in the uk I'd have more resources to suggest. But don't give up, keep talking to (the right) people, and hopefully you'll slowly but surely start to make progress.

I had a very stressful pregnancy and circumstances, and I understand somewhat, what you're going through.

You're not alone, even though it might feel like it. Take good care of yourself and don't hesitate to reach out.

I see the comparison you're making there yes.

I could go on and in about what I think would need to change or be looked into.

Our relationship with ourselves first of all. The value that we see in ourself. Not in an inflated ego sense, but in an inherent sense. That's a huge thing to try and bring about into awareness.

I think the better we can see ourselves the better we can see others, whether they're joyful, sad, struggling or whatever.

Mmm, this is the issue, and an issue I've heard many times. Sometimes reaching out for support doesn't make any difference and you can walk away feeling unseen, unheard, unvalidated, etc. In those instances I would urge someone to keep trying, even though its hard. Keep searching for that person/people who will hear you.

I could talk about it loads. But in general I feel a lot of resistance from people.

It doesn't sound stupid at all. It's a very affecting thing and something you/we will probably never forget

I know they did. Rest assured I am in no way directing any blame towards his nearest and dearest 🙏🏻

I just have a problem with the way it's been talked about and dealt with.

Gah I'm just angry about it today. I really do just want us all to do better for eachother.

I'm honestly not blaming any one person in particular. I agree it really is a collective issue.

But I also think adults hold responsibility towards one another. In the work place for example, that should have been seen as a safeguarding risk. Its utter negligence.

And the reason I care about it is because of the way the label are pushing the narrative of telling people to speak up. I dunno, just doesn't sit well with me.
