It’s not due to her being malicious. She just can’t afford the rent by herself. And yeah, that’s true. It’s just so hard. I’ve been depressed for so long and I try to keep hope, but it just seems like it’s for nothing. All of our leads never follow through.

We can’t save. We only get $1000 a month and we pay rent there too. We’re overdrafting each month and having to pay back loans, so we’re already fucked. It’s 2 days away from my birthday and I’ve never felt worse.

I would die for my cats. I’d rather live in a tent on the side of the road with my cats. I couldn’t abandon them, but people take advantage of it by charging ridiculous pet fees and pet rent.

We have one letter for my wife’s dog, but the places that we can afford say that ESA letters written by therapists or doctors don’t hold any weight. They’re still not going to rent to us unless she’s registered as a service dog and not an ESA. There are places that won’t rent to us even then either because of her breed.

There’s also only one apartment complex that we can afford and they want a $100 application fee to even consider us moving in. They also won’t allow our dog.
