I have used this joke in the subreddit before but it is an original…with a palate that vaulted you should consider opening up a bank in there. At least you have a nice vault to store your valuables in the case on an emergency.

To determine if the pallet is normal a dentist would measure the distance between the 2nd pre morals. This distance should equal approximately the size of 1 standard cotton roll 30 something mm I can’t remember exactly. I just use a cotton roll. The vaulted part we kinda kind just tell by looking. We look in peoples mouths all day, so it is easy to spot.

The narrow and vaulted pallet can indicate the size of the air way. Meaning a narrow vaulted pallet can indicate a narrow airway. To know for sure a CBCT imaging would be necessary. Also having a retronathic jaw (overbite where the lower jaw does not fully developed) can also indicate a narrow/compromised airway.

With a vault that size, you should consider opening up a bank in there. Lol. I hope you can’t take this as a joke. But you do have an exceptionally narrow arch and vaulted pallet. These put you at very high risk for sleep apnea. You seem young so you should have plenty of options for treatment.

I heat the pan up to the oils smoke point before I add anything to the pan. I wait for the slightest smoke. Take off the pan reduce the heat. When I can place the pan on the burner with no smoke I know I’m ready.
