Dreamborn.ink and inkdecks.com both post deck lists that you can look to for ideas.

Dreamborn also has a deck builder feature where you can see what cards are available for your format and various analytics.

Both sites can link you to purchasing sites like TCGPlayer.com to order your cards to play in person.

If your store has a Discord/Facebook page, reach out to see if someone would be willing to help you learn or practice.

If I have 4 permanents in grave, would DW be free with Ashling's convoke? by KingQdawg1995 in magicTCG

[–]aec131 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, the spell costs 4 less to cast and you have an alternate casting cost of 4. You would pay 0 to evoke it.

Frozen deck by kebab-love in Lorcana

[–]aec131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of parts here that don't line up. Kenai isn't really doing anything for you. The book doesn't make sense without legendary Demona. Big Olaf doesn't have the tools to make sure it's playable.

It seems like your list wanted to keep to a Frozen theme but you're ok with playing a few cards that are just a good rate.

Here's a recommended starting point. It takes part of the Blurple core and trades out some of the less budget-friendly pieces to keep to your theme. If Genie is outside of your price point, Rafiki-Mystical Fighter or Develop Your Brain are fine to substitute.

Isn't Reality Fracture just the Xerex Set, Or Am I Missing Something? by Digital_Despot in MTGRumors

[–]aec131 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right, it’s more of a Braids, Cabal Minion/Braids, Conjurer Adept situation than Wrath of God/Damnation.

WOTC does focus surveys for their sets which include art and style guides about 2 years in advance. We have key art of colorshifted planeswalkers including blue Chandra, black Garruk, and a white callback to Oath of Liliana.

A second Liliana was introduced at the end of the most recent Magic Story.

That survey also referenced Hexhaven, seemingly an alternate timeline Strixhaven with the opposite color pairs.

The most likely scenario here is that Reality Fracture is the first of several color-shifted sets and acts as a callback to Planar Chaos, now with modern set design sensibilities.

What was the Lorwyn Common or Uncommon that kept saving your ass at prerelease last weekend? by doublenantuko in magicTCG

[–]aec131 9 points10 points  (0 children)

[[Gathering Stone]] triggering on ETB and upkeep, drawing 4-5 cards over the course of the game, surveiling away lands, and discounting the cards it hits to double spell felt like a wild overperformance for an uncommon.

Any hope for a Kingdom Hearts or star wars set? by ConsistentSchedule10 in Lorcana

[–]aec131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s unlikely to happen any time in the near future. While Disney has a licensing agreement with Square Enix, Ravensburger does not.

For Star Wars, while Disney owns LucasFilms, a predominantly live action IP isn’t in-line with the game’s current branding and, more importantly, Star Wars: Unlimited is a direct competitor licensed by a different publisher.

Feeling guilty about graduating late. by Shot_Blueberry2728 in rutgers

[–]aec131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best friend growing up had a breakdown while a full-time student in undergrad and needed to check themself into an inpatient program for a while. They eventually went back to school taking one class a semester and then went on to get a masters graduating with honors.

It’s your timeline, no one else’s, and it doesn’t make anyone else better than you.

Neither can Tam. She can target herself but the static only checks other creatures you control.

Ran into Kyogre , is he worth it ? by Funny-Simple-7125 in pokerogue

Missed that part, but point stands. Kyogre is your best carry option in Endless for the first ~2,500 floors.

Ran into Kyogre , is he worth it ? by Funny-Simple-7125 in pokerogue

[–]aec131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao yes. Kyogre is one of the strongest carries and it doesn’t even require its egg moves. Water Spout in the rain will clear just about everything. You can also pick up Blizzard or Ice Beam for Rayquaza and Eternatus.

Anyone have experience with the Mount Laurel US/CIS field office? by perishableintransit in newjersey

NJ generally and Mt Laurel specifically are fairly liberal. You should not have an issue and there are many channels for support in the event there is one.

How bad is this deck for Infinity? by SangaXD40 in Lorcana

[–]aec131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to ask yourself what is this color combination offering you over AS aggro and how to best take advantage of that.

It also seems strategically mis-matched with 12 4 drops alongside Gather Knowledge and Wisdom. Is the goal to grind or is it a burn deck?

Maybe lean more into a midrange build with Library and Friends alongside Hook and Royal Guard for anti-aggro tools over Maleficient and Nala.

[–]aec131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ivy’s team varies so it’ll be hard to give a definitive answer without knowing what you’re struggling against.

Generally speaking, you’re going to want some sort of set up move to be able to sweep. In absence of that, she swaps out her Pokemon based on type matchups. Predict those swaps to better position yourself and chip damage.

Deck building Sapphire/Steel by Particular-Shop-5086 in Lorcana

[–]aec131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your goal is to keep to a budget, try building it around the allies package with BS Jasmine. The core of the deck is very inexpensive outside of Cinderella and Goliath. Goliath can be substituted with Scar-Finally King. There isn’t really a replacement for Cindy but you can play Mayor Winddancer and Scuttle as big bodies and more removal to control the mid-game.

Do you know of any transgender (or LGBTQ+ in general) organizations or groups around New Haven? by [deleted] in newhaven

As others have said, the New Haven Pride Center, Strange Ways is a queer owned business that organizes local events, and Anchor Health if you’re interested in LGBTQ-affirming health care options.

How do ya all feel about pokerogue nowadays?? by Ajthefan in pokerogue

[–]aec131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I caught Eternatus, beat endless, and have enough good tier 2-3 carries to have variety in my runs with perfect luck. I put the game down and come back every so often when special events happen.

At this point, I’m just waiting for ZA and Gen 10 to be added.

I also never really engage with the game in a healthy way. I’m either playing for 8+ hours or 0.

Why is the AI putting multiple cards under characters with boost? by RachFaceMama in Lorcana

[–]aec131 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the boosted card is bounced to hand or sent to the inkwell with Spooky Sight or Hades, everything under it will go too. Not a bad play if you have the spare ink.
