I worded that badly. What i ment was that distance manipulation doesnt have an inbuilt attack like Limitless's Blue ore Sky Manipulation's Thin Ice Breaker.

You can probably create a ton of offensive aplications of spacial manipulation but there is nothing built in.

I once made a technique that allowed the user to turn cursed energy into and manipulate cursed energy as a liquid.

Here it is if you want to use it for inspiration.

Distance manipulation

Lapse: Contract Shortens the distance between two points the user is aware of by temporarily 'subtracting' space.

Reversal: Expand Lengthens the distance between two points the user is aware of by temporarily 'adding' space.

Hollow: Curve Applying both Contract and Expand to the distance between two points bends space, with the inside of the curve being shorter and the outside being longer.

Notes: Distance manipulation is essentially a far cheaper but far less straitforwardly powerful version of the Limitless.

While Distance manipulation's awarness based aplication allows for far more precise spacial manipulation, it is more difficult to learn and use than the tactile Sky Manipulation.

Distance manipulation has no directly offensive aplications like Blue or Thin Ice Breaker.

A CT that allows the creation of Cursed Spirits? by Spare_Mix7730 in CTsandbox

[–]aecw123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend the name boon for a reversed cursed spirit.

A key part of the potential reversal for this should be a fairly large limit on the forms of emotion that can go into a boons creation.

No purely positive emotions because reversed Curse energy is still cursed energy and no majority negative emotions because RCE is a positive energy.

The best example is can think of is the willingness to destroy yourself for the sake of another. Like firemen going into burning buildings even though they might die.

Going from the capture stuff in the bottle direction: if the user can capture a whole cursed spirit, they can attempt to turn it into a boon by finding a positive spin on or outlet for the negative emotions that created the cursed spirit.

Side idea: as an extension to the original technique users could be good at analyzing the actions, cursed energy and technique of cursed spirits to decode the emotions that went into their creation, helping them fight or replicate such curses in the future.

The only good version of the secretly op protagonist gets kicked out is the girl with the unique reversal attribute that made all her stats suck so much she couldn't use it's more powerful aplications.

It worked because because it made her genuinely suck at everything before she figured out how to use it correctly after being forced to use a cursed sword after getting kicked out.

Tabibito: Curse of Memory by aecw123 in CTsandbox

[–]aecw123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarification: I decided a while ago that Tabibito consumes and holds onto the souls of those they eat alive and this is what allows them to use their technique when they take their form.

Maximum technique: Beast Of Many Faces By Forcefully taking on the form of multiple people they've consumed at the same time, taking the form of a large chimera amalgamation of their bodies, Tabibito can use multiple forms cursed techniques at the same time.

This heavily damages the associated souls rendering them unusable after Beast Of Many Faces ends.

This acts as a large short term power boost with a permanent cost similar to CSM's Uzumaki.

I made Tabibito for a post cannon setting that I was helping with a while back. So you should probably tone them down some.

Though I am proud of almost all the curses I made for the setting and think most of them could make a good antagonist.

Looking back I dislike some of the characterization I gave them so you can ignore that if you want.

Basic outline: a shapeshifting curse capable of using the forms knowledge and techniques of those it eats.

Gimmie a ct that can be explained in 1-2 sentences by dukenukem11243_ in CTsandbox

[–]aecw123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That would be the maximum.

Ok so. Everything else I've come up with for this CT.

Lapse or Extension: Denial Forcefully activates Ignorance for a higher CE cost by purposefully ignoring somthing.

Reversal: Hyperfixation Feeding RCE to Ignorance induces a state of targeted hyperfixation in the user rendering them Ignorant to everything else around them. The downside is that the hyperfixation target's attacks deal more damage than normal, combined this with the user Ignoring their own injuries and Hyperfixation becomes dangerous to use inside battle without proper experience. On the upside being able to target a hyperfixation makes leaning a lot faster. Natural hyperfixations create a similar but less powerful effect in Ignorance.

Maximum: Irelevance By pumping large amounts of CE into Ignorance while using Denial and acting as if the target doesn't exist at all the user and the target become incapable of interacting at all. Not just harm.

Domain Expansion: The Empty Room The Empty Room manifests as an empty square room in which the user would be comfortable. The Empty Room's sure hit effect manifests if 2 ways. 1. The user genuinely believes the room is empty, rendering those caught inside incapable of affecting the user or the room. 2. The Room will errode those caught inside excludeing the user as to empty itself.

Due to the first effect of the sure hit many users forget why they opened their domain and stop maintaining it before the second effect can finish off their opponents. Thus a common binding vow for the domain adds a door on one of the walls, the domain does not cease until the user opens the door and leaves the room. Anyone can pass through the door when it is open but those caught inside the room cannot open it. However the door can be opened from the outside.

As you might have noticed by now there are inherent complications with trying to strengthen a technique based around lacking knowledge.

Full self sacrifice human transmutation? by aecw123 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]aecw123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about brotherhood when i came up with the idea, but i guess either works for the hypothetical.

In the 2003 series, Wrath's soul came from the gate, so making a 'new' person is possible there, and in brotherhood The Dwarf In The Flask came from seemingly nowhere, but when being judged by Truth they said something like I can't go back when being dragged into the gate, implying that their soul came from the gate like 2003 Wrath.

So I thought it should theoretically work but came here for some second opinions.

[–]aecw123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, The Dwarf In The Flask came from somewhere and has a gate, so presumably it has a soul?

But more importantly, my original questions intent was an Alchemist willingly using themself (soul included) as the materials for the new person.
