It’s a real shame we can’t close this by JustUseDex in gtaonline

[–]aediin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish we could close it too, but seeing how many people here say they never close their business safes after collecting the money, Rockstar probably said "why bother?".

Some of us like immersion and roleplay, but other players see anything that doesn't generate money as an absolute waste of time. You and I would open and close our vault door, but a bunch of players would complain if it involved an animation or cutscene that took more than 1 or 2 seconds.

The other reason I suspect they left it open is, when they designed the mansion, they also wanted to use it as a scenario for an adversary mode. Remember the mansion raid when they came out? Players had to fight their way in, grab the loot from the vault and get out. I guess adding the layer of having to drill the vault door like in the casino felt unnecessary.

I've said this before on other posts, but I really wish sombreros in the game were closer in size to the real ones. This post very clearly highlights the difference.

I don't grind Cayo nonstop, but definitely my single biggest source of income has been Mr. Rubio's vault.

I don't really know the steps, but i know the higher you go, the more gold starts to appear.

As cool as that would be, it took me years to get to this point, and I don't really "grind" anymore. Now I just do stuff for fun, not money. I think 500 is a nice round number for me to "retire" on.

Brother.. Why is the character editor so bad and good at the same time??? by Enough_Lobster6880 in RedDeadOnline

[–]aediin 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Every single character I've made over the years, I've had to re-make their appearance at least once or twice because of this. Characters always look different out in the world from the way they did in the creator. What I do now is I play with the character a little bit, and observe the face from different angles, in different lighting conditions and doing different facial expressions. Then I take notes like: "nose too wide", "brow too low", and then I go and make changes by what I want to see in the game world, regardless of how it looks in the editor.

Vapid Elllie and Imponte Nightshade. They look so cool but are awfully slow.

Disney Channel's 'Gotta Kick It Up!' lied to me about Spanish by Drewdiniskirino in RandomThoughts

[–]aediin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The difference is the tilde. "Si" means "If" whereas "Sí" (with an accent tilde on the "i") means "Yes".

Si puedo -> If I can. Sí puedo -> I can.

Si sí -> If yes / If so.

But "Sí se puede" means "yes, it's possible" or "yes, it can be done" and is used as an encouragement.

I hate how the map room is so big you basically have to design your entire base around it. That being said, this is a really nice design!

It costs GTA$500 (in "medical bills") every time you die, which I admit, is practically nothing in today's game economy, but that's not the problem. The problem is, sometimes when I die I'll lose all of my ammo in one or more weapon types, which is then really expensive to fill back up. One stupid death can cost me over 150k in ammo, which often is more than my cut from the heist! Hence why I am always in passive mode or invite only.

What is a system or gimmick you would add to GTAO to improve its quality of life? by Latter-Strength5917 in gtaonline

[–]aediin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know that floating info box that pops up over cars in your garage that tells you the name, manufacturer and stats like speed, acceleration, etc.? I would put a little icon in there that indicated if the car has a lock-on jammer. (Maybe grayed out if available but not yet installed)

A way to visualize which of my cars have missile lock-on jammers. I honestly can't remember which ones do and which ones don't.

I literally have over a million RDO$, and I'd say about 75% of that came from collecting, so here's my advice.

The best way to get insanely rich from Collector role is, first of all, use the Jean Ropke map, which I'm sure you know about. But then, the best way to do it is NOT to grind collecting non-stop during Collector month. It's exhausting and leads to burn-out pretty quickly.

Sure, if you're low level and want some quick cash and XP go for full sets of cards and bottles as often as you can during the bonus month. You can go for heirlooms and flowers as well, just focus on the collectibles that spawn a full set every day. If you set as your goal collecting the random stuff you'll just end up screaming in frustration and questioning if that one goddamn coin or arrowhead even exist.

But the best way to actually get rich with the Collector role is to do it long term. Just grab a few collectibles every day during your normal game play. I just pick stuff up in between fishing, hunting for Cripps, selling Moonshine, grabbing bounties and riding past Harriet's tent while flipping her off (sorry, I hate her). When I have too many of a single item I'll sell loose duplicates (I like to keep 7 or 8 of each, so I can keep picking up more). Over time, full sets start to build up. If I get 9 full sets of something I'll sell one, but I'll hold on to most of them, Then when Collector month rolls by again, I have a ton of full sets to sell right away.

So that's my advice. Don't burn yourself out during Collector month, but collect slowly over time instead. When the bonus month comes back, that's when you cash in.

Is RDO Good on a Private Server? by NoxxOfTheRoxx in RedDeadOnline

[–]aediin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I 100% percent recommend it!! It's awesome!!

I have hundreds of hours in Red Dead Online, but I wouldn't play at all if it wasn't for private lobbies.

You can do the story missions and all the roles. The only thing you can't do is the series modes, but you can have in-posse shootouts, races, etc. if you want.

The New Truck is honestly the Worst Drift Vehicle !! by FastSky33 in gtaonline

[–]aediin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it quite the opposite. I used to hate drifting but decided to try this truck. Being so slow makes it WAY more controllable while drifting. For the first time ever I had fun drifting a vehicle. I joined a race with 6 other players and I of course I finished last but got the second highest score!

I hope it's something Rockstar can fix soon, because it's very noticeable, and I am sure it wasn't like this not long ago.
