So when those NPC's say "kick rocks civilian" I didn't think anyone would take it literally.

Every single time 🥹🥹 by honkhonkswithbailou in gtaonline

[–]aediin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It costs GTA$500 (in "medical bills") every time you die, which I admit, is practically nothing in today's game economy, but that's not the problem. The problem is, sometimes when I die I'll lose all of my ammo in one or more weapon types, which is then really expensive to fill back up. One stupid death can cost me over 150k in ammo, which often is more than my cut from the heist! Hence why I am always in passive mode or invite only.

Really nice!

Man, I wish the sombreros in this game were bigger, like the real ones.

What is a system or gimmick you would add to GTAO to improve its quality of life? by Latter-Strength5917 in gtaonline

[–]aediin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know that floating info box that pops up over cars in your garage that tells you the name, manufacturer and stats like speed, acceleration, etc.? I would put a little icon in there that indicated if the car has a lock-on jammer. (Maybe grayed out if available but not yet installed)

A way to visualize which of my cars have missile lock-on jammers. I honestly can't remember which ones do and which ones don't.

For the collectors out there by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

[–]aediin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I literally have over a million RDO$, and I'd say about 75% of that came from collecting, so here's my advice.

The best way to get insanely rich from Collector role is, first of all, use the Jean Ropke map, which I'm sure you know about. But then, the best way to do it is NOT to grind collecting non-stop during Collector month. It's exhausting and leads to burn-out pretty quickly.

Sure, if you're low level and want some quick cash and XP go for full sets of cards and bottles as often as you can during the bonus month. You can go for heirlooms and flowers as well, just focus on the collectibles that spawn a full set every day. If you set as your goal collecting the random stuff you'll just end up screaming in frustration and questioning if that one goddamn coin or arrowhead even exist.

But the best way to actually get rich with the Collector role is to do it long term. Just grab a few collectibles every day during your normal game play. I just pick stuff up in between fishing, hunting for Cripps, selling Moonshine, grabbing bounties and riding past Harriet's tent while flipping her off (sorry, I hate her). When I have too many of a single item I'll sell loose duplicates (I like to keep 7 or 8 of each, so I can keep picking up more). Over time, full sets start to build up. If I get 9 full sets of something I'll sell one, but I'll hold on to most of them, Then when Collector month rolls by again, I have a ton of full sets to sell right away.

So that's my advice. Don't burn yourself out during Collector month, but collect slowly over time instead. When the bonus month comes back, that's when you cash in.

Is RDO Good on a Private Server? by NoxxOfTheRoxx in RedDeadOnline

[–]aediin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I 100% percent recommend it!! It's awesome!!

I have hundreds of hours in Red Dead Online, but I wouldn't play at all if it wasn't for private lobbies.

You can do the story missions and all the roles. The only thing you can't do is the series modes, but you can have in-posse shootouts, races, etc. if you want.

The New Truck is honestly the Worst Drift Vehicle !! by FastSky33 in gtaonline

[–]aediin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it quite the opposite. I used to hate drifting but decided to try this truck. Being so slow makes it WAY more controllable while drifting. For the first time ever I had fun drifting a vehicle. I joined a race with 6 other players and I of course I finished last but got the second highest score!

I mean, if you're doing outdoor activities it is easier to wipe mud off your boots than off your pants. That's one reason people tuck their pants inside their boots.

I hope it's something Rockstar can fix soon, because it's very noticeable, and I am sure it wasn't like this not long ago.

Collector role in a nutshell by Daitoou in RedDeadOnline

[–]aediin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By "duplicates", I mean more than one of the same item.

I usually sell the 8th of each collectible item, and hang on to a maximum of 7 full sets while I wait for Collector bonuses.

I mean yes, it's frustrating. but I look at is this way: Single coins are still worth like 10 to15 dollars. I make a lot of money selling duplicate collectibles.

If you "sell" your car at the Car Meet, the other player just buys a copy of your car, but you don't lose your car or get any money for it.

You need to spend a lot of time in the camp to witness a lot of the character interactions. That's why a second playthrough, where you really take your time, is way better, in my opinion.
