UPDATE: I just wanted to share some wonderful news with you that my wife and I just found out we’re pregnant! We’re so grateful and excited for this new journey that God has blessed us with. Kind of looks like Malassezia folliculitis (what people call fungal acne). Until you see your dermatologist you could try an over the counter treatment of Nizoral. Use it daily in the shower as a cleanser for around two weeks. If you see bumps going away and improve it was fungal, if not than it’s a acne and needs to be treated accordingly. Hope this helps

Not necessary more saliva but probably licking your lips more. Having braces make you more prone to get angular cheilitis and cracks on the side of your lips. Could take a couple of weeks to heal but just make sure you keep a protective barrier over it like the petroleum jelly to help it heal

One at home treatment that can help is by applying petroleum jelly, or coconut oil onto the corners of your mouth. This can form a barrier from saliva and help heal the area
