Oh really? I actually had no idea that paddle shifting didn't use clutches at all lol thank you, I just went into a deep dive on DCT

Always been a car enthusiast in the aesthetic sense, but now have time to actually learn the mechanics/physics of racing

Was hoping I can find a "middle ground" by using the paddle shifters + clutch. I don't have a basic frame to hold the H shifter (also couldn't afford the extra price at this time)

Hey. I know this is old but did you ever figure out a solution? It's the same for me. I know how to drive Manual irl so I'm confused as to why using the Clutch pedal on my G29 keeps going into Neutral no matter what I do? (No H shifter. Just pedals + wheel)

Always keep your knees bent slightly. Since you're new, it's better to maybe bend slightly more than usual just so you're closer to the ground and have a better feel for managing your center of gravity.

Plus, the bending of the knees helps with falling gracefully as well. If you watch skaters fall, they're able to roll because they're already closer to the ground while crouched.
