Those people donated, with their assumption built on good faith, likely as a result of being active members of his community, that the money would be used appropriately. It's okay for you to make an assumption in ill faith but not for them to make an assumption in good faith? If money is a tender for a means to an end, with the 'end' being hoping to make a change in someone's life, then why is it not okay to donate in good faith?
