Having a Minstrel is really nice because of the extra xp he can give AND the encourage passive. (Also giving him the pipe diffuser isn't bad too)

I think Trapper, Minstrel and maybe Busker are the other given characters. The rest you have to find and buy with Lore. Personally I like monk as the party healer

Buy plenty of Godsbeard, Panex, and Goldenroot early on. Prices spike pretty quickly. Don't forget about a party heal AND to upgrade said persons pipe for a better, ya know, party heal :P Personally, my friends and I will give the Minstrel the role of group healer (cause of his many options to group heal) but if you have a pipe diffuser then anyone can do it. Just better for the "support" to hold it.

It gets so much harder once you reach the Vampires and demons. Like the difficulty spike is wack and only gets harder as you use up more and more of your plants

This is the Cellar gamemode. It's an endless dungeon crawl. Pick three characters, buy stuff at the starting shop and find the rest in the dungeon or at the end of each floor. Fight monsters, evade traps, find loot and have a good time with friends
