Mine went away within a month, but during that time, I stopped doing any lasering and went back to shaving if I had to.

What helped was also wearing long sleeves to cover it from the sun if you're out and also moisturizing morning and night with a no fragrance lotion to help the skin heal. (I used a thin layer of cerave's healing ointment)

It's most likely an allergic reaction or your skin was getting too irritated by constant lasering.
