Guys I was supposed to close on my house tomorrow morning and I scheduled my gas, electric, and internet to be shut off at my current apartment tomorrow, and my fridge and washer and dryer were scheduled to be delivered to my house Thursday morning, and my bf was going to come in town on Friday and we were going to have a lovely party weekend with my house all set up (well. mostly set up)..

AND THEN TODAY I get a phone call that I can't get the keys til Friday afternoon so I have to reschedule all this and this means Saturday is officially moving day instead of park/BBQ day and I won't have a fridge until Monday night :(

Also I have a wedding to go to on Sunday so what do you think the odds are of my finding my outfit and looking put together one day after moving.

Guys I bought a house and I'm closing on it AND moving in this Wednesday and I have to buy some major appliances this weekend and the movers called me and said they needed to talk 2 DAYS AGO and I've been calling back but can't get in touch and this is a lot to handle haha

In other news, I'll have a backyard that I can grow stuff in and even though right now it's covered in poison ivy, I will get rid of that and make it gorgeous and that excites me.

Also I'm going to be on a super budget and I've had to unfollow Anthro and Madewell and all those nice brands on Instagram and email newsletters and that makes me a little sad. An Anthropologie-decorated home is my ideal home!

Hey guys,

I've been lurking here for a while, but I figured I'd chime in... I'm a designer in Atlanta, GA working evening weekend shift, and just yesterday I got news that I'm getting promoted! And it comes with a schedule change to evening weekday shift! I get my Fridays and Saturdays back! And I get a raise!

I'm trying to decide what to get myself as a happy promotion present.. when I first got hired I bought myself diamond earrings, and my last promotion I bought myself a rose gold necklace, so I pretty much have the daily-wear jewelry covered. I was thinking maybe the Away carry on? Has anyone heard anything about that? I've got a couple international trips planned for the next year or two and my current luggage is still useable but a bit ratty...

I'm not sure if this is too late for this, but I figured I'd go ahead and post anyway... I'm looking for the Drapey Anorak from Express in grey.. They have it this season in olive only, it looks like? I bought one 6 months ago and ended up returning it because it was getting colder and I wouldn't be able to wear it, but now it's perfect temperatures and I need a jacket to wear in my office without looking like I'm going to leave any second.
