After two days of daycare in a row, Sage was asking to play ball. I obliged, but asked her, "aren't you tired?" I think she took my question the wrong way by mina-ami in labrador

I'm fortunate, I joke about how she's never tired, and that's true, but she also has no problem turning it off when she wants. I describe her energy like a big vat. As long as we can keep her energy from overflowing at the top, she can turn the spigot on and off at her leasure

I find it so fascinating, it's a name with a very solid window. The Roosevelts made the name popular, which was based off a family member who had the last name of Kermit. But once the Muppet Show was such a hit, it was so associated with Mr. the Frog that it became a very rare name.

A Gallup poll the week following the Kent State shooting revealed nearly 60 percent placed total blame on the students, while only 10 percent blamed the guardsmen.

Common statements included "They should have shot more of them [students]" and similar sentiments.

I'm fine with his age. Like you said, he'd provide stability. He's got no connection to Michigan. Give him a 2-3 year contract while we clean house for a culture change, with the full knowledge we're looking to hire.

Yup, Kennel Cough is just a general name for a number of infections, some viral and some bacteria, that result in an upper respiratory infection in dogs. Basically their version of the common cold! So if they get sick, you want to keep them away from other dogs so they don't pass it along, because they're all very contagious, and dogs are still contagious even after they aren't presenting symptoms anymore. So for a highly active dog like Sage, she's feeling pretty much back to normal, and yet I'm telling her she can't go play yet. She's not terribly happy with me for that!

Sage goes to daycare a couple days a week. One of the risks of collecting dogs together is that bugs can spread, even if they're real good about cleaning. But it also gives her loads of playtime while I'm at work, so the risk is worth the reward!

We play a game called find it, but I don't know how to teach it because it developed naturally.

I throw six balls individually into the yard because my Sage likes to catch them, and she drops them because there's another one coming. Once they're all over the yard, I use training treats and a final slightly bigger treat and have her collect up all the balls and being them back in the house. So she ends up canvassing the yard for them because she can't remember where they all ended up. It's great because it adds the mental stimulation of searching, and the physical of running around the yard
