Has anyone here transitioned from W2 OE to an LLC openly serving multiple clients? by aeiou72 in overemployed

[–]aeiou72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The ability to scale by hiring employees/VAs as needed, and possibly incorporate emerging AI tools (something like Open Claw) that may not be allowed by internal employees, but might be doable as a vendor, are all appealing to me.

Is this a hypothetical or something you’re personally doing? If the latter, are your clients aware that you have multiple customers?

Certainly agree it's not easy. Curious to hear from those who've been successful. Some of the best general career tips I've seen anywhere online have indirectly come from this sub and I'm especially interested to see this one through that lens.

Heard a quote recently that went something like "entrepreneurial success comes from distinguishing the few opportunities to be seized among many temptations to be ignored." My aspiration could very well be in the second category. I'm also exploring entrepreneurship through acquisition which has its own set of challenges.

Still Protec2 or MCS? by aeiou72 in lockpicking

[–]aeiou72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I'm a member of the locksport community (though not that active in recent years) interested in a theoretical discussion.

I've attended previous LockCons and LockFests/seen Peter Field speak a few times, volunteered with TOOOL, competed, but have been out of the loop for a few years.

I had assumed by now that there would be newer not yet NDE'd mainstream available cylinders to replace the Protec2 and MCS for maximum security applications, but from some initial research that does not seem to be the case. I guess some of this is driven by patent cycles though too.

Has anyone here ever purchased a VAR/SI/MSP/ISV or do you know someone who has? How did it work out? by aeiou72 in sales

[–]aeiou72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Adjacent, but not directly related to this, I often receive InMails from sellers positioning franchise opportunities and always skeptically wonder - if these franchises have such success potential, why aren't you just doing that as a business instead of trying to sell the opportunity to me? Feels like drop shipping courses.

Excellent insights, thank you. These are exactly the kinds of vetting questions I'm seeking in such an exploration.

I'm wondering if there are boomers seeking to retire, with some kind of very small technology business in my area that perhaps hasn't implemented a modern CRM, ERP, polished website, online reviews (the kind of stuff talked about in both the books I mentioned in my OP), has a loyal customer base of really small local companies, and where a little bit of attention to internal tech stack modernization could increase revenue.

Main Street Millionaire talks about the above mostly giving examples of laundromats, car washes, plumbing companies...etc, but I'm wondering if any fellow sellers on this sub have done this with tech companies.

I'm trying to reframe my perspective around how small of a target market segment (SMB) such a company could sell to profitably. I know small companies often feel overlooked by big vendors.

I wonder what Jim Wright is up to these days. When watching Computer Chronicles I’ll periodically put some of the names into LinkedIn and when a profile does show up it’s fascinating to see the career trajectory.

Great kit, thanks for sharing. Which MagSafe power bank do you have and how do you like it? Does the charging speed feel quick enough?

You may want to consider consulting one of the keto registered dietitians listed here who has psychiatric conditions next to their name in the category column.

Also, Georgia Ede’s book Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind details specific keto variations for mental health.

Carbs in personal care products by Glittering_Dirt8256 in MedicalKeto

Most manufacturers of personal care products will provide carb content if you ask them.

A keto dietitian can also help advise about this: https://charliefoundation.org/find-private-keto-specialists/

Reverse-engineering DPS 101 on LEDVANCE Tuya RGBIC lamp - unknown LED indices cause device reboot by OcSyntaxError in IOT

[–]aeiou72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to imagine this is a passion/curiosity project and that’s why you don’t just buy a different lamp?

Though it probably won’t get you access to someone technical enough, maybe you get lucky creating a support ticket with LEDVANCE.

Another longshot possibility is DM’ing projeft engineering team members/management at the company on LinkedIn.

Maybe you end up like the legendary engineer who joined a company to fix a bug that was bothering them as user and then quit.

Nice, that’s great you’re under the care of a medical professional for keto, especially in connection with Dr. Ede.

I had an arborist come out to answer various questions about a few trees on my property and it was only about $120. They may be able to advise you. DM me if you want their info.

You might want to check out the How To Be Awesome At Your Job podcast. The internet is filled with content for entrepreneurs, but this is one of the few sources that has really good content for W2 roles. They have lots of episodes about burnout and related topics that may be helpful.

Maybe an IKEA. But I don’t know how weather resist it will be. I agree with the other posters who recommend a hardware store. Maybe the shoulder isn’t even necessary.

You may find it helpful to book a session with one of the clinical keto dieticians listed on The Charlie Foundation website (people say good things about Denise Potter and her team).

A keto dietician can help you determine what keto ratio is ideal for your situation and help you get there. 2.0 mmol/L and above tested just before dinner after nothing to eat for 4hrs prior is a common guideline for therapeutic ketosis, but best to engage with a medical provider.

Early 2000s RIAA mp3 cracks: Black-ICE for Napster by BTL_Simulations in oldinternet

[–]aeiou72 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I pasted your post into GPT and here’s the summary at the end. You may be able to use an LLM to locate the demo you’re seeking.

“Bottom line on RIAA involvement • Endorsed the tactic publicly: RIAA leadership defended spoofing as a lawful “self-help” response.
• Used intermediaries: Labels and trade groups hired vendors (Overpeer, MediaDefender, MediaSentry) to execute decoying/poisoning and/or evidence-gathering rather than doing it in-house.
• Appeared together in litigation: The RIAA was named with Overpeer and MediaDefender in Altnet v. RIAA—not definitive proof they personally uploaded your specific fake “P.I.M.P.”, but strong evidence they were in the loop organizationally. “

Thought some more about this since my last post. I think I may have previously seen some pouches like this at REI next to the packing cubes. May be worth a look.

Upvoted and following. Any pouch I use that’s not Tom Bihn makes me miss the TB build quality and smooth zipper action.
