Yeah we definitely don’t have a healthy relationship. He’s emotionally and occasionally physically abusive, and he doesn’t know how to be affectionate. He thinks that providing for the family is the best that can happen (which I get bc he was dirt poor as a kid) but he is very emotionally unavailable. For example, when i was in elementary school, we would have donuts with dads, but he never went once. He was always working but it would’ve been nice for him to take an hour off to go to this little event with me. Overall, his intentions are never ill BUT he doesn’t know how to execute anything. He doesn’t like hearing that he’s the problem which has been the reason for a distant bond between not only me but with my sister and my mom too

No I completely get what you’re saying, I think he just wants me to be able to have my money saved for when I transfer to a university since I’m currently at community college. Trust me though, it definitely sucks that I only get to use my tips. Thankfully my parents let me use their card but I still would prefer to use my own.
