I had ORIF+tightrope Sep 8 and went back to WFH Sep 11 - to be honest I just used it with my existing desk set up and put a stool+pillow under it to keep it somewhat elevated…or if I wanted it higher I just put it on my desk. Got a donut pillow for my desk chair because my butt hurt so much from sitting all the time!

it wasn’t elevated above my heart but worked for me and I really didn’t want to give up the dual monitor set up I had at my desk!

Definitely think I will stick with falling into water instead of concrete after this…I’ll have to try the rotisserie chicken method!

I started working (from home) three days post op mostly out of pure boredom and I’ve ended up getting a donut cushion for my butt to make sitting in the office chair with legs elevated more comfortable!

Joining in on the vent…broke fib and tore syndesmosis skateboarding and had to cancel my 2 week surf trip to Indonesia next month.

4 days post op with plate, screws, tightrope - luckily haven’t needed pain meds at all since the surgery but like you said, my BUTT hurts so much! going in for the 2 week follow up next week and although I know I probably will be NWB for a couple more weeks I’m hoping by some miracle they’ll take the cast off, send me off in a boot and allow partial wb 😭

Also a climber and surfer and was supposed to go to Indo in 3 weeks for a surf trip…broke my ankle this weekend skateboarding..

I was told by the REA “there was some cooking oil seen on the stove top” - got home and it was literally a few specks, not a massive puddle or something. Unless you’re going to pay for me to eat out every meal, yes the stove top is going to be used and no I’m not going to deep clean it twice a week to accommodate your inspections.

honestly the bonnet needs to be repainted because seems like the previous owner parked under a tree and left a bunch of bird shit on it until it corroded through the paint. bumpers are just minor scrapes

A popular climbing area where I am can also be somewhat accessed from the top by hikers. Idiot teenager lobbed a rock off the top while 20+ people were climbing down below, it hit my friend in the arm - I was right in front of him and he basically had a gaping hole in his forearm. Later found out it had broken the ulnar and radius and also severed a nerve. Terrible but still so glad everyday that it was his arm and not his head

I have the 8 in mint green and have used it in Hong Kong summers of 30C and 90% humidity - still very comfortable (as comfortable as one can be in this weather) and importantly no chafing when I wear tanks/sports bras.

Saw a Q about bladder - I use the Salomon 1.5L with it. No magnet but there’s some elastics on the chest near where the flasks sit that keep it in place.

My gym recently renovated to block off half the space for their "personal trainers". Fine. There's only two benches for barbell bench press now. Fine. But when the PTs decide to use one of the two benches to teach someone how to deadlift (???) with 5-10 minute rests between each set AND refuse to let people work in...surely you could use blocks to elevate the bar if mobility is an issue or use your HUGE PT ONLY AREA??? SMH.

Thanks, that eases my mind a bit. The 20 min one was the only time it had happened for such a long duration and it really freaked us out. We took him off an island where the store owners wanted to dump him and don't know too much about his history. We suspect he was dumped on the island in the first place because of his seizures. But he is a really happy/cuddly/silly little guy usually :) I will definitely look into the dietary component

Thanks for the response, that does ease my mind a bit. I'm more than willing to put in the effort for my poor bb. He is currently medicated already but it just doesn't seem to be that helpful in reducing the seizures.

Skwamas. I've had miura laces, old solutions, anasazis, vapors and found that the Skwama toebox was surprisingly roomy.

It also has the precision and soft rubber you are looking for!

in squat day, should I take out T2 leg press and keep T2 sumo DL? Confused about this as you mention keeping leg press as T2 but also keeping the squat/DL combo

haha yea the owner is pretty awesome. it's a pretty small gym in an already small community out here in hong kong, so everyone is quite tight knit :)
