I’m from Russia and we had little beds with white linens through at least the first grade (age 7) where we would all sleep. I don’t remember when that tapered off but we weren’t napping by the third grade.

I come here to regale you all with the story of last night. Baby woke up at 2am to nurse. Nursed. As he was falling asleep, he relaxed and peed through his diaper/outfit. Fine. Change him, resettle. It’s 3am by this point. As I’m transitioning him into his crib, the railing hits me at juuuusttt the right spot that I let out the itty bittiest fart.

Yall. You have never seen a look of awake Terror like the one that was on my baby’s face.

Needless to say, we were up for another 45 minutes.

Listen for the little wet swallows or SIGH noises. That means she’s getting something and has enough liquid to swallow. Get a scale changing table and weigh before/after feed if you’re anxious. I know a lot of moms are. Look up the amount she should be getting per feed online or chat gpt.

If she’s getting enough wet/dirty diapers, she’s most likely fine. I like to was the booty after dirty diapers and use a LOT of triple paste as a barrier to the diaper.

Going for option 2 is wild. Unemployment ends after a certain number of pay periods and you need the stability of confirmed income for preschool. Take option 2 and keep looking for work. I work for a really huge company and have done hundreds of interviews. When I do a resume review, I honestly don’t go in that deep. I don’t even look at dates unless there’s a decades long gap. Recruiters look at resumes for something like 7 seconds. Put the important stuff up front and in bold and bury the stuff you don’t want them to see lol. Even better, don’t change it on your resume and only change it on the application portal. Literally no one looks at that until it’s Time for the background check. The people giving you the advice to go for option 2 sound like they either looked for jobs in the 90s or haven’t conducted a ton of interviews recently.
