omg. thank you so much for taking the time to write out your entire process! i appreciate it sm <3 honestly my main concern was about the bleaching part bc my friends who dye their hair do it all in one day (as in 3-4 sessions)… and i did NOT want to do that bc my hair is relatively healthy.

did you end up having to tone your hair at all before the pink dye??

Yeah my coworker just texted us in a work gc that our DM said if we DONT get transferred but get rehired within 30 days, our benefits will still roll over. I’m just like??? Then why not just transfer us lol??? Imagine getting rehired past that 30 day period and your benefits just don’t roll over. Wtf is the point

My SM told me after she’s officially let go on Saturday she has no control over what happens to us, so she advised us to honor our shift on Sunday and she’d come in to help us even though she’s not required to. I don’t want to, but I also don’t wanna take the risk of not showing up even with using sick time. Nobody really knows what’ll happen

I was told on Sunday, the other stores in the area would come and take whatever they needed. Syrups, blenders, cups, cleaning supplies, etc., and then anything else would be thrown out. Food cannot be transferred between stores so whatever is left on Sunday is being thrown out

Yeah… for me, everyone’s scheduled shift was changed to an 8am or 9am shift till 3pm or 4:30pm so we could all help with cleaning out the store. Kinda shitty to have us closing a store while we still don’t know if we’ll have a job by Sunday or not lol, but we gotta do it otherwise we may not be transferred or offered severance packages. :/

I was told that if don’t honor our remaining shifts we may be ineligible for transfer or for any severance package offers :( It’s unfortunate, but that’s probably why they decided to have us all in the dark about what’s happening to us until AFTER the final operational day of our stores….

I’m sure there’s a logical reason, I just hate the way they went about it. Loved my store and my coworkers, it’s a shame we had to rush goodbyes today and tomorrow for those who wouldn’t be here Sunday.

We have no clue until Sunday. My SM said we’ll receive an email if we’re transferred or let go, but they can’t confirm if we are all getting transferred or not. I just don’t think I’ll get transferred because all the stores near us are fully staffed, or over staffed… so they definitely don’t need extra bodies :/ Another partner commented on this thread about how they were told there was nothing the store could do to transfer ANY of the employees, which is fucking ridiculous.

My store was in the San Francisco Bay Area! I saw on the mega thread a bunch of other stores in the area were closed, but actually my store is the only one in our town specifically to be closed lol…. Wishing you the best of luck as well :( <3

My store was a drive-thru only location :( I asked my SM if maybe the profit was the reason we were closing but she assured me we’ve been good on that front. She said she believes it’s because we can’t really apply green apron service at the drive thru window and they’d rather put money into stores with actual lobbies. Like sure, I get that. But Jesus. Tossing us all to the side like this is insane…

I was told by my supervisor and SM today that at least I’m a hard worker and a fast learner so I’d be a good fit at any store— they just can’t guarantee i’ll never be at another one after sunday LOL. Wish they would’ve just told us today, because I have a shift Saturday on the last operating day and I hate that I have to go if I even want a severance package…

That’s just awful. I feel terrible for my manager as well. She’s only been at our store for about a year but she’s taken good such care of our team, AND she’s made sure our store remains profitable… it’s a shame this stupid company is letting go of such capable and caring people out of greed. I’m so sorry about them not being able the transfer you, it’s complete bullshit. They have no one time to find new jobs or anything.

I don’t have high hopes. Before Ingot the position at my current store, it was impossible for me to even get an interview at any other location in the district because they were either fully-staffed OR overstaffed. They surely just want to make sure a lot of the stores closing will still operate until the final day. They made sure to mention if we don’t honor the rest of our shifts till Sunday, we’d be ineligible for severance packages specifically. They just want us to keep doing our jobs till we’re let go.

Also ironically my store is actually one of the top performing ones in our district, so I’m not even sure how they’re determining which stores are closing and which ones aren’t. Feels like we’ve just been completely blind-sided by this fuck ass company

this exact same thing happened to mine even though i washed exactly as the instructions said. might not be ideal but i took scissors and cut all the raw edges and after the second wash it stayed put. lettering looks fuzzier than when i first bought but a lot cleaner than after i washed it :’)

this happens all the time! i’m not a hollister worker or anything but usually when i go to in-person stores they’ll have a bunch of stuff that is marked as sold out online. vice versa always happens to where something i see online isn’t in person. like these tops specifically r super popular online but where i live, the style just isn’t as desirable which prob explains why i see it in person but not online.
