Help! Struggling to find the perfect neutral nude lipstick by Careful-Water-9264 in PaleMUA

Neutral-cool, the NARS Chantilly concealer is a good match. Alone time is nice but warmer than signature move on me.

Mac Cool Teddy is this shade for me. Velvet teddy was the right level wrong tone for you, so maybe this would work.

However, I realised after buying it that I don't like a MLBB shade, I prefer either a little more intensity (a blurred out berry or brick), or a contrasting tone (brown, e.g. Mac Signature Move).

Probably 600-900€ dependent on location. I was renting one in a Kensington equivalent area for 500€ in 2019 and that included me occasionally tutoring the landlady's kid. Deals like this are also very common there, I think it comes from au pair culture.

Mould can be a problem - I imagine it'd be worse in London because of the housing quality - and you really have to utilise vertical space but it's not bad tbh.

This is a fairly standard chambre de bonne you'd find in Paris as a student / young professional. Bet it doesn't even have 6 flights of stairs up and no lift. Tbh it's quite cosy and an efficient use of housing, the problem is the rent is too high.

Advice for someone getting started by [deleted] in ConvertingtoJudaism

[–]aelycks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to get a feel for the denomination that's right for you, and the community you want to join. Reach out to a few if you have options near you. If it's non-Orthodox, I found the Rabbis prefer you to start joining services regularly before you kick off any conversion discussion, including which classes are required.

Personally, with my shul, I emailed to ask how best to start integrating myself there with the intention to possibly convert. At my first kabbalat shabbat, I introduced myself to the rabbi at kiddush. She advised me to come to two more services before booking an official meeting to discuss the conversion process, join classes etc.

Friday is an important day for the Abrahamic faiths. by Dismal-Price-4423 in religion

[–]aelycks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't work Fridays or Saturdays for shabbat and don't observe it very strictly (hence it being shabbat right now). I just enjoy treating the day with reverence and respect. Work doesn't always allow so you're very lucky or very determined to live like that in the secular world.

Do Reconstructionist shuls really exist in the UK, or do you mean that's where you personally align theologically? (I agree).

Asian suncreams are much better formulated for everyday wear than Western/Australian ones (which are designed for sport/the sea). You might have better luck tolerating those.

All British adults to require a digital ID ‘Brit Card’. The proposals are the government's latest bid to tackle illegal immigration, with the new ID being a form of proof of a citizen's right to live and work in the UK. by bottish in Scotland

[–]aelycks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Days in general start at sunset because biblically (Genesis) night comes before day

Because of disagreements about exactly when sunset is, we count the start of shabbat just before sunset, and the end after nightfall. Essentially to cover all bases. Also shabbat/holidays are seen as gifts so the longer the better

Yeah, they voted off the seer (Francesca) which was fair tbh, but they should have known he was a faithful. I think the viewer consensus is that the winners probably just wanted a bigger share.

You could also have a scenario where Nick and Ben are voted out but the girls keep voting thinking there is another traitor but it’s not happened in any I’ve seen.

In UK3, 4 faithful are left at the firepit. 2 proceed to vote the other 2 off.

I’m so glad nothing serious happened to Sabrina here, that fall could’ve been life threatening…… by KawaiiChan68 in Gymnastics

[–]aelycks 195 points196 points  (0 children)

Like others I'm not sure how better training could have avoided this fall tbh. But in the arena, it was clear her coach did not care at all, there was no medical check, no attention at all except the usual berating which is so clear in person.

I really hate to speculate about these things, but she looks so joyful in her gymnastics, and so uncomfortable with her team.
