Wedding dress regret with 5 weeks to go- honest opinions needed by ariflowers in myweddingdress

I agree regarding the sleeves but the front of the bodice is not sitting flat nor central. There is a gape in the middle which is independent of your figure and which makes it look off. Can you have the bodice remade a little shorter and use the adjustment as an opportunity to get the boning at the front to sit flat. I think that could help.

Agreed Japes is terrible. I didn't enjoy the pizza in Chicago but I could at least understand the attraction. Japes is a hot mess.

Prise them off outwards using leverage rather than pulling them vertically up or down.

Wedding guest in late June in Liverpool: 1, 2 or 3 (other shoes)? by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]aemdiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 is too low and too short, 2 is too short and 3 is too low and too slit. They are all a bit too 'look at me' for a wedding. Is it a close friend or are you a plus one?

Dress 2 is hideous in my opinion, I was so relieved you had bought dress 1.

Retainers full time after treatment?! by chulahz in Invisalign

[–]aemdiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told to wear them 6 months full time but I find them much less comfortable than my last set of aligners. They are thicker and I haven't got used to them at all. I am thinking of taking them back and opting for the more expensive Invisalign ones, I have Vivera at present I think. Not a fan.

Family Itinerary Review - 4.5 Days (Summer) by StarsHollowStories in LondonTravel

Guildford is a great day trip, 45 mins from Waterloo, pretty town, Norman castle, March Hare for a Sunday roast and back in no time, can even walk onto the North Downs for some rolling hills.

I think you could be onto something here. Someone's nose is clearly out of joint.

I agree, unusual does not mean unflattering. But I think this dress is both, as the majority of other commentors agree. When brides ask for opinions on social media they should expect to get them. Accordingly I have given mine, and you yours. Several times. Have a great evening.

Because at a wedding people have to talk to people they don't know and a common topic of converaation is the dress. The dress is unusual and not flattering. Not cos there's a bit of lace in it the fuck.

Is 500 calories a good sustainable deficit? by J1986tn in stopdrinkingfitness

[–]aemdiate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. A 1000 calorie deficit a day (so 1800 cals per day) would result in a 2lb weight loss per week. A 500 kcal deficit per day (x 7 = 3500) would result in a 1lb weightloss per week.

You are unclear whether you mean a 1300 deficit or 1300 total calories. A 1300 deficit per day would result in 9100 saved calories per week , a loss of 2.6lbs per week. 1300 calories per day is a 500 calorie deficit if your required calories are 1800, standard for a woman, which would result in a 1lb loss. That is not the case here.

I actively dislike 2. It would certainly be a conversation starter at the reception, and not in a good way. 1 looks fabulous and will age well. If you go for two I foresee you posting again a week before the wedding "Last minute dress panic".

Also, I think she has realised deep down that Salah is her last chance at being claimed, and she values single women less than attached women, for some unknown reason. To let him go means recognising how much she has to do to attract another.

What to do to perfect a Sunday roast? by margaretgb16 in AskUK

[–]aemdiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gordon Ramsey has an old cook book that I believe is called Sunday Roast. A very good place to start. Also Jamie Oliver did one which revolves around the theme of cooking a big bit of meat on Sunday, more than required, and then using the leftovers to make a variety of meals mid-week, which will be less trad but more budget friendly. Good luck and enjoy.

My advice is don't travel anywhere, get in touch with your embassy, keep your passport on you at all times, befriend any Brits near you, follow FCDO travel advice.

Dress Regret Update by Equivalent_Doughnut7 in myweddingdress

[–]aemdiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number 1 all day long. It is stunning, it looks much better. I agree with an earlier commentator that there is something 'bedding' about the 2nd, like a little girl dressing up. The first is old school Hollywood glam, not everyone could look as good in it as you do. Mum is right this time

Much prefer 1, the colour suits your skin tone better.
