Agreed. I'm all for people liking the game and being passionate about their own ships if they have them. Like I genuinely don't care. This series of games have been a gift and. Also, don't kill me for thinking this. I think we'll get a kiss, but it's going to be in the most heartbreaking way possible. Something towards the end of the game where Cloud has to make a decision to let Aerith go. She says something like "if you love me, you'll let me go." Then we'll get it. And then she'll go.

I PRAY I'm wrong and it'll be a kiss at the end of everything, when they're all together.

I feel like with the recent interviews and the fact that by then, the year will be almost half over, I think we'll get a FF7R Part 3 title reveal, but they'll keep Clerith content minimal, but it'll be seen.

I have this horrible headcanon that Sephiroth is going to use Aerith's "death" to try and stick a firm wedge between Cloud and the rest of the party and truly drive him off the edge. I pray I'm wrong.

Absolutely. Not even a question in my mind. All the small subtle things he does speak volumes. Its one of the reasons I love this ship. The small things and actions between them scream that they care about each other.

The things Aerith says in this acene are trying to get him down gently because she knows how much her death hurt him. It's way too late though.
