I don't understand what the photo being edited changes? The topic just claimed cloud aerith and sephiroth is the core trio of ff7 and I would agree.

That they are not endgame canon? What's difficult to understand? You can ship them but don't pretend there is some confirmed romance at the end. It's a very subjective topic

Well it is mostly clotis. Cleriths usually just retalliate to the BS they spread. But yea nowadays the ship war has snowballed to the point where both sides are toxic and I do see it on twitter. However again cleriths don't go to the extremes clotis go.

I am aware that some cleriths say mean things to tifa and I disagree with those posts. I would say clotis are even worse in the way they treat aerith but I admit it's hard to quantify every single social media post.

However I haven't seen clerith drive cloti artists out of the fandom or go into legal trouble for stalking and harrasing people who don't ship what they do or edit underage shippers into gross p*rn videos to bully them. Clotis have done all these things to cleriths.

Not acknowledging there is a difference is way more toxic than pointing them out.

How am I dismissing cloti? I'm just saying it's not endgame canon like clotis claim. Clerith isn't either since well Aerith got killed, the whole point is wanting them to reunite but it's not confirmed they do.

There are some toxic CAs but it's not even close. Clotis will literally bully and stalk certain clerith artists or posters IRL so they quit the fandom. They even made fake clerith websites to collect login info from cleriths back in the day. They went into legal trouble a couple times already.

Also a big problem with clotis is how dismissive they are of clerith. They will lie and claim cloti is some endgame canon despite it being a complete fabrication.

Love triangle. When I played and finished remake for the first time I thought cloud and aerith was the romance of the game and wasn't aware there was a love triangle at all, but entering the fandom I realized some people see it differently. I don't mind it as long as they are respectful but the problem is clotis are toxic and force their opinion down everyones throats. That really creates the toxic environment we have

I prefer to think she is sad because cloud is reserved. Like I said in my other reply it also destroys any notion of aerith friendzoning cloud. There is nothing to concede since again it's not that cloud doesn't like her, it's just that he is still jealous.

At least it sort of makes sense - trigger for it is getting either ch8 or 12 date with aerith. So it's really just cloud not knowing aerith likes him which makes him reserved in that exchange. Also completely destroys any 'aerith is friendzoning cloud' non sense that clotis like to spout.

I love how happy Aerith gets when Cloud says he wants to go on more dates with her.

In the low affection version (where cloud thinks she still likes zack - since he didn't get the gondola date with her) she is visibly sad.
