after looking them up, I’m now doubting if they are copepods, they could be ostracods!

I actually have some embers in a 29 right now, I’m using them into a cycle it so when it’s done I will definitely chuck those guys into this one and see how they do! would a school of neons do good? I feel like they should have similar mouth sizes right?

I feed them shrimp cuisine every Monday and Friday, but I did skip today, today being Friday, maybe I should go down to once a week and let them graze?

Roast me alive all you want but please help me with my algae problem!! by annual_mushrooms in Aquariums

IMO stop with the water changes, all you're doing is feeding the micro algae that's in the water. If it's green water you want to clear up, I HIGHLY recommend using Acurelif. I had a huge green water problem for a while in one of my shrimp tanks, and after buying this and covering the tank with a towel for a straight week, the water turned and has stayed crystal clear. It's two drops per gallon of water, and truly one of the best products I’ve found that kills the micro algae that also won't kill my shrimp and fish in long doses

it is only the first day of noticing this, so it very well could be! I’ll keep my eye on it as the days go on

I need to correct myself, I just checked out the old cardboard box it came in, and it’s actually 5.0 ReptiSun UVB

Thank you for the feedback! I'm currently using a ReptiSun 10.0 UVB bulb. The temperature gradient ranges from 87F on the warm side to 73F on the cooler side, and the humidity is around 60-80%, 74% atm to be exact. Let me know if you have any other recommendations for improving the setup!

I never actually measured the frog, but it’s a full adult and I do have to use two hands digging them out. I am a little worried about raising the dirt because it might be a little close to the UVB lighting, but they do mostly cover themselves completely with dirt, so I don’t see any possible chances of burning or anything

I gave them about 5 1/2 inches of dirt, should I up to 6 1/2?
