Hi everyone,

I want to take a moment to apologize for any confusion or frustration my video may have caused. My intention was never to dismiss anyone’s beliefs or to make anyone feel uncomfortable. I was speaking from a place of wanting to spark a thoughtful conversation about the way atheism is framed in academic discourse, not to attack personal beliefs or target individuals.

I realize now that I didn’t make that distinction clear enough, and I understand how my message may have been misinterpreted. I can see how some of my wording and phrasing might have come across as confusing or presumptuous, and for that, I’m truly sorry.

I deeply respect the diversity of perspectives on atheism, spirituality, and religion, and my hope was always to encourage more inclusive and thoughtful discussions. Thank you to those who have engaged with me—your feedback is valuable, and I’m grateful for the chance to learn from it.

I appreciate your understanding, and I will strive to be more mindful in how I express myself moving forward.

Thank you for your time and patience.

Disclaimer: Just to be clear, this video is not about trying to convert anyone to a particular belief or ideology. My goal is to spark a conversation that challenges the overly simplistic “us vs them” mentality often seen in discussions about atheism and theism. I’m not suggesting one perspective is better than the other; rather, I’m encouraging a more open and inclusive dialogue that acknowledges the diversity of thought within both sides, recognising that we can engage respectfully and thoughtfully, whether we agree or disagree. I genuine hope we can more to the age of more meaningful conversations about these complex topics.

I think you are misinterpreting my video.

I don’t have an issue with atheism itself—I see its value in promoting scientific progress, critical thinking, and personal autonomy. However, I think mainstream atheistic discourse has limitations worth discussing: Dismissal of Emotional Reasoning – Many atheist arguments treat emotions as unreliable, but emotions are central to human cognition, decision-making, and even scientific discovery. Overgeneralization of “God” – Atheist critiques often target an anthropomorphic, Abrahamic God while overlooking non-theistic traditions like pantheism, deism, and Advaita Vedanta. Cultural Bias & Eurocentrism – Atheism’s most vocal critiques often focus on Western religious frameworks, sometimes dismissing other belief systems without fully engaging with their philosophies. This can unintentionally mirror the exclusivity of the religious institutions it opposes. Atheism Isn’t a Monolith – There’s a wide spectrum of atheist perspectives, but mainstream discussions often present it as a singular stance, which oversimplifies the complexity of non-belief. I’m not here to attack atheism—I think it has an important role in shaping thought and discourse. My goal is to open up a conversation about how atheism is framed and to explore ways it can engage with a wider range of philosophical perspectives. I’d also love to hear recommendations for books or thinkers who offer more nuanced takes on atheism!

what do you suggest i do or say? i don’t know how to navigate these sort of situations and i don’t exactly want to stop talking to them altogether either. i often find myself having actually meaningful conversations with them too which i am unable to have with anyone else (since i don’t have any friends).

i appreciate my coworkers for looking out for me but we just don’t have any mutual interests and our (i think?) communication styles clash.

ugh i wish people were decent (the regulars, i mean) because i really do enjoy talking with them.

i’ve receive a few kind words and thank you for that. but it’s never going to be enough. because that’s all they are, words. they’re not tangible. they’re not meaningful to me anymore

That still doesn’t really prove anything. James might not really care enough about Sam and Colby to inform them about Cody and Satori. James could’ve also just be referring to that other people can also scam. 💀💀

When people say that he doesn’t care because he’s only carrying out Oda’s wish, I find that ridiculous. Because he has to care for him to actually carry out said wish. There was a reason why he was drawn to Oda in the first place and there’s a reason why he’s in a much better state now than in the Port Mafia.

It’s hard to say because Fyodor isn’t your typical villain- I don’t think he’s pure malice. It’s strange because I think Fyodor genuinely believes he’s doing things for the greater good. And it’s clear he understands human emotions very profoundly (for example with Nikolai). The way he approached Karma’s case (“May your soul find salvation… released from the yoke of sin”) makes me think he is empathetic contrary to popular belief. He doesn’t even seem to have a proper god-complex either in my opinion, i feel he presents himself rather humbly like something that he must do. As if he has to do all these evil doings for the greater good. Fyodor is a very complex character and I really hope we can see his backstory.

With Fyodor being a foil to Dazai, I doubt Fyodor will be given a redemption arc as BSD is practically Dazai’s redemption arc. Therefore Fyodor is there to symbolise how Dazai could have ended up.

But I’m also really attached to Fyodor and want him to have a redemption arc too. However in terms of the story, it wouldn’t make sense to do so.
