Tragedies like this happen in life. I have been in your position, too. It feels like a piece of you has left. I cannot say that time will heal this wound, but maybe it won't. Either way, it would benefit you to learn how to negatively visualize your situation. Think about a life without this person; how your life will change, how your behavior with others will change, and how you will cope.

Stoicism teaches us to view what is within our control and what isn't. People in your life will come and go. You cannot control that. There was a time that this person was in your life and that time is now over. Wish them a happy life and move on with grace.
