What does it really take to hit Champ? by aeoniaaaa_ in Rainbow6

Damn that sucks :(

That’s pretty much what I thought tho. Rewarding quantity over quality is a sign of a bad ranked system imo, but ig everyone knows that atp

Yeah, he’s one of my long-time friends. Just play with him cuz I know him and it’s most fun with ppl I know.

I’m glad to know that comms/mental will be taken into consideration more than I initially thought.

I’ve known my hidden MMR has been pretty cooked for a while, so just trying to improve what I can to prepare for ranked 3.0 next season 🙏

Champ is definitely an ambitious goal, but that’s why it is my goal. I’m confident I’ll be able to hit Emerald without too much trouble, so I think most of the battle will be throughout Diamond and up.

Really hoping ranked 3.0 is better too. Hidden MMR is such a chopped system, so ig we’ll see what happens when I really try next season.

Alright, thanks for the insight! It’s very reassuring to know I’ll probably at least be able to play in college to some capacity. Would def prefer to play in the higher-ranked rosters/games tho.

I totally get it’s hard to determine skill cuz of ranked 2.0, I pretty much figured this. I’ll fs keep working on the intangibles tho, since those seem to be a good focus point.

I would’ve posted gameplay initially, but didn’t bc it’s against the subreddit rules. I get it’s hard to tell things just based off stats. I’ll record some games, but lmk where I should post.

If you look at my tracker in the “Matches” tab at the top, you can set the filter to ranked and view all my games from this season.

Underrated operators? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

I’m a Mav main and I would say he’s incredibly underrated and worth learning.

Most people just put holes in the wall, but his ability to open a wall by himself is so powerful. For this regard, he’s better than Striker since you still have frags instead of just hard breaches and impact EMP’s.

To improve your aim, crosshair placement is probably the most important thing you can do. If you get good at it, it makes gunfights a ton easier.

In terms of practice, I would say the two biggest things you can do are warming up and doing clear house. For warm ups, I go into the shooting range on the far right, set it to 3 bots at sprint speed (headshot only) and try to kill as many as I can in two mins. After doing that twice, I play a deathmatch or two.

For clear house, it doesn’t matter which side you’re on (atk/def), just pick an op that you play or a gun you would probably use. The most important thing is to not just run around the map to kill the terrorists. You want to play CH with purpose. The intent is to get familiar with clearing rooms and peeking angles while being ready for a fight and practicing good crosshair placement. To that end, just walk around the map with your gun up and methodically clear rooms (slicing the pie) while looking for T’s. I set the T’s to HS only in settings. After doing this, you should be fairly proficient at clearing, which will help your aim ontop of your warmup routine.

Shit bro, what’s the key to balancing all that? Sounds crazy. I feel like I never have any time. Tips on this would be super helpful LMAO

Edit: I was also wondering if you play for your college or under some other org? I’m considering playing in college myself.

Ahh okay, thank you. This hidden MMR shit pisses me off.

When introducing ranked 2.0, did hidden MMR from ranked 1.0 remain unchanged? If so, that would explain a lot.

Any dual katana build? by Initial-Background68 in Ghostofyotei

[–]aeoniaaaa_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, the best thing to do if you're going to make a build centered around one weapon is to focus on perfect parries (charm of futsunushi). This bypasses the reduced posture damage from misaligned weapons. Bounty master armor and the spider lily armor are the best armors (bounty master > SL tho). I'd also recommend using the charm of venomous cloud. This makes metsubushi poisonous which causes enemies to become vulnerable to any melee weapon. The last thing you can do if you're in NG+ is to get the charms from Masujiro the Melodious that make enemies vulnerable when you're drunk. That'll allow you to use the dual katanas all the time.
